I also got offered Russ for an elite WR when I lost Dak in a league. Was lucky that I could snag Tannehill in FA.
That was me trying to help us both out. I offered you Wilson who will likely be the highest scoring fantasy player in the league because I wanted an elite WR and was gonna gamble on Rodgers. I tried for Tyreek and some other QB for Wr trades. I get it- a lot of folks would rather mix/match Qbs and keep their elite WRs. Some of them are making the right move and some of them are deep enough that they probs should have traded. 30 Automatic points at the top is a big advantage each week.
I was real drunk when I rejected it, so I don't remember if I gave you a note lol. But what I meant to say if I didn't was that I appreciated the sentiment of it, but in a league that deep (14 teams for others' reference) there's just no way I could replace Nuk on the WW and I didn't have the WR depth to do so either. My 4th receiver is Preston Williams, who hasn't broken out the way I hoped he would. I just didn't have the flexibility to pull that move off. If I had Henry Ruggs or something on my bench, I might have done it. I got really lucky to be able to pick up Tannehill, who's QB6-ish, in a league that deep. Wasn't offended by the offer by any means.

Roddy White with the take today that Lawrence should stay another year at Clemson if the Jets get the #1 pick bc he should want no part of that organization.
idk I'd rather waste my talents in NY than in DC or jacksonville.
if the jets somehow end up with the 2nd pick it's not going to be like whoever gets 1 is a better destination.
The Jets haven't been to the Super Bowl since Namath, right? Their ownership is in limbo - which Johnson will be calling the shots next year? Rex Ryan to Todd Bowles to Adam Gase. They've shown no ability to develop a QB or to build around him. (If Allen went to the Jets and Darnold went to the Bills I think it's likely that Allen would be on the way to having his 5th year option declined.) The media market is brutal.
There are a lot of franchises that are in a bit of a lull that could end up with a high pick and a QB need that could be a better place for a promising young QB.
I think using SB appearances is misleading the Jets were a couple of plays away from making one within the last decade.
they were at least competitive with Ryan, even if it didn't work out in the end.
bowles was an absolute clear good hire when it happened but he just is another story of great DC not being a good HC. I don't blame that on the jets thats something that happens across the board.
Gase was a bad hire and it's very clear. but he won't be the coach next year.
Darnold is another in a long list of USC qbs that didn't pan out. I guess that's on the jets but I wasn't really high on him.
I think the bell move was the kind of move you want to make and I don't think the jets are to blame for him being a problem. the Steelers are a model org and he ran himself out of town.
idk I'd rather be on the jets than the browns or jags. Texans are a disaster of a franchise, with owner turnover issue. saints have similar who's running this ship issues. DC is in the running and they're embroiled in a sex scandal and their owner is the absolute worst. LAC could get the pick but they have a qb and their organization is just as wrecked, especially their med staff. giants seem poised to be marginally better than the jets, they seem just as bad a destination.

since the rookie scale contract will have him on the same contract for his first four years either way, Trevor would be trading a year’s value of his second or third contract to play one more year of college. Could easily be 25-40M. I wouldn’t walk from that kinda of money.
Additionally, I say this as a Jets fan, it legitimately seemed this off-season that our GM was doing the first intentional tank job in NFL history to get Trevor, I think he’d be willing to go for year 2 of that plan if Trevor stayed a year.
a team I could see moving up is Detroit, if they traded stafford and picks to nyj for the 1 or something is that honestly any better? detroit?
haskins and the 2 and other picks for Trevor, congrats now you're in DC.
Stafford would have a dead cap hit of almost $25M if he's cut next season.
lol yikes. point stands that other rebuild teams aren't exactly the cats pajamas. obviously atlanta is the most reasonable best destination, but idk what Ryan's situation is and the qb isn't their problem

Would explain keeping Dumb Mussolini as head coach.

Holy crap. Matt Ryan's 2021 dead cap is $49,937,500!!!!
not playing leveon bell every down seems like a fine sacrifice for the pick.
I think he’s actually washed. He’s going to pretty much the perfect situation so we will know soon if he is
I don't know if he's washed, but he's not the back he was a few years ago. Like you said, sharing the backfield with a young talent where he doesn't have to carry all the load is definitely a good spot for him.

gonna have to push back on the bell points. by all counts, the dude is a great teammate. what went down in pittsburgh was all business and he didn't really force himself out of NY.
he just gets lumped in with AB since both incidents went down around the same time and gets unfairly labeled a head case
No. he’s got a hamstring and ankle injury and was bumped by the coaches last week. He’ll get it in November instead of September. Are the Patriots still the best?

LV vs Tampa has been moved to Sunday afternoon. Seahawks Cardinals has been moved to Sunday night. Apparently the Raiders are dealing with Covid issues, and the NFL wanted to ensure a SNF game.
Is there a quarterback controversy brewing or is it overblown, in your mind?
I wouldn’t say a full blown controversy yet but I’m sure there’s a discussion being had about moving on from baker after the season. Both sides have some good points imo. I think he gets the rest of the season and if he doesn’t show noticeable improvement he’s probs gone.
