Gee, I wonder what it's like to face Brady and vets willing to give up on salary in exchange for the chance to win a ring twice a year. I guess I'll have to try to draw on the last twenty years of my life to imagine...
Was listening to a local radio show, and the hosts were saying that they considered Tampa as one of the worst overall organizations in NFL history. A history of losing, an unappealing city, sub-average fan base, subpar coaching and ownership, etc...
Jacksonville is probably the worst for the NFL. Arizona is probably on Tampa's level. Places like Washington, Detroit, and Cleveland are higher, even with the decades of incompetence and losing, because of their long histories and stronger fanbases. Houston's probably lower than they ought to be, thanks to awful coaching and management.
I’m not buying that it’s a shifty city. There are tons of bomb ass places nearby. Everything from Holmes Beach to Anna Maria Island, Clearwater, lots of St. Petersburg, Bradenton, Sarasota. Idk. I’ve been there a few times. If you like water and boating, it’s a pretty awesome city. This isn’t to say that there aren’t meth heads and mulleted d bags. Sure, it’s Florida. But just because spent is from there doesn’t mean it automatically sucks.

I spent a week in St Pete two years ago. Tampa and Clearwater were stops on that trip.
I enjoyed my time there. But ya know, it's still Florida.

It’s no Providence, but far from the worst place to go!
I have been to a lot of the state but not the Keys, 10,000 Islands or way SWFL like Cape Coral, Venice or Naples. I happen to like Pensacola because it’s less than 3 hours and I own a place there that I use when I can. There’s a nice dichotomy to rednecks there which I appreciate. But for the best cities, it’s hard to rank because it depends on what you like. St. Augustine to me is awesome as shit. I like old stuff but it’s sleepy too. Miami is great (and many of the dozens of cities and communities). I like Orlando. I like Tallahassee. I like Jacksonville. I like Tampa. But for the within 5 hours, I’d put it:
1) County Road 30-A (mostly southern Walton County) - Seaside, Seagrove, Seacrest, Grayton Beach, Blue Mountain Beach, Rosemary Beach and Alys Beach.
I wish those trips involved things besides parks and outlet malls.
Orlando is a good launch area though. There are a few dozen springs within 2 hours of there, many of which would blow your mind. It’s also pretty close to Cocoa Beach/Cape Canaveral and Daytona/Ormond. I love swimming in the ocean. But some of the springs are fucking alien level.
That’s right they were putting it in later. Did they confirm 21 over 22 or 23?
According to the Sporting News
The earliest the NFL can add the 17th regular season game is 2021, and the latest is 2023. It seems the most likely landing spot will be 2022, because new broadcast contracts could potentially be in place by then.
Good for you. I was more referring to everyone here in New Orleans. Downtown was a fn ghost town today. Lots of people are sick but you don’t know what you/they have because it was such a warm winter that pollen and allergens are everywhere. Plus the cold and flu. We’ll probably never know more than a small percent of people who came down with it. /I like the numbers

5) Sandestin (resort areas)

6) Panama City Beach
No love for SGI?
It’s over 5 hours away. I liked eating oysters in Appalachicola too but it’s 6 hours away.

Brady's contract reported to be 2yr $50 million (all guaranteed) with a few extra million in possible incentives. Deal also blocks tags or trades. Damn son.

Mostly pretty meh signings, and one-year contracts. Hooper is legit, and it will be nice having a right tackle who actually blocks guys sometimes, but the others aren't very exciting to me.
They're almost certain to draft the best left tackle available at #10. Human mountain Mekhi Becton will probably be gone but a lot of people are really high on Wirfs after the combine. OBJ is on the trade block though, and they're still Haslam's team, so I have no clue what to really expect.
