Saints today - Overpaid to retain Andrus Peat. Picked up the 5th year for Ramczyk and Lattimore (those contracts will be coming due soon) and Emmanuel Sanders in a 2 year 16MM deal.
We are quickly running out of time. I still hate that we only have one ring in the Brees era but we have been good. We have to go all in on 2020 and hope.
Sander is excellent and will probably be an underpay this year.
I like him too. He should have opportunities and is kind of our first legit second threat in a while. We let Kirkwood walk, and we didn’t protect Carr. I love Ted Ginn, but hes been hurt off and on and hasn’t had as much production. He’s unrestricted. That leaves Tre’Quan Smith who has underperformed and Deonte Harris who is small, fast as shit and has a long way to go in learning and being able to play as a WR.
It’s hard to put a floor or Ceiling on what Sanders might do if he stays healthy. I’d put it somewhere between 40-65 catches and maybe 450-700 yards. Some of the balls will probably go to Cook as he was picking his game up in the second half of the season.
Brady's contract reported to be 2yr $50 million (all guaranteed) with a few extra million in possible incentives. Deal also blocks tags or trades. Damn son.
That's pretty cheap if we're being real.
It's more the 100% guarantee that got me. Doesn't feel like that happens often.
A potential for a huge QB shift this season with Brady [TB], Rivers [IND], Brees, Tannehill, Newton, Smith, Winston, Bridgewater [CAR] and others all possibly ending up on the free agent market.
Has Brees already resigned? Where do the others end up?

Brady - Tampa 2 yrs Rivers - Indy 1 yr Brees - NO 2 yrs Tannehill - TN 4 yrs Newton - allowed to seek a trade Smith - still in Washington Winston - still a free agent Bridgewater - CAR 3 yrs
The idea of Washington trading Alex Smith to New England when he's able to pass a physical makes a lot of sense to me.
Not sure where Dalton, Winston or Newton end up but starting spots are starting to look hard to come by.
Enjoying the 92 AFC Wildcard game between Houston and Buffalo on that complimentary NFL Gamepass. What a bonkers game.
That’s still one of the greatest games ever. Their prior meeting (12/27/92) was a bloodbath with numerous players on both teams sustaining major injuries. I’d never seen a game like that before. We were in a birthing room so I’ll never forget that game until the doctor came in and we turned it off. Haha

Nice. There were about 900,000 Bills fans at that game but I wasn't one. (We were also in the hospital. My grandfather was recovering from heart surgery. Probably not the best thing to have on in his hospital room in retrospect.)

Not that anyone cares much, but Case Keenum signed for 3 years, $18 mil with the Browns. I think I heard $10 mil is guaranteed. Seems a little spendy for a guy we're hoping will be a backup, but he's not a terrible #2, Mayfield struggled last year, The Browns still have ridiculous cap space, and this is nothing like Denver was paying him for a minute.
Congratulations to the Bengals for signing Vonn Bell. We liked him here and wish he could have stayed, but there's only so much money to go around. He's a quality player with a nose for fumbles. He's created 7 and recovered 7 in his 4 years with us. Good signing.

Pretty excited about him, and all the other signings we have had this offseason. It's not been the flashiest free agent signings - but it was the most money Mike Brown has spent in my life time.
Yeah, he won't disappoint you. He's actually one of my favorite players. We got Jenkins on the go for broke year. I wanted to keep him 8/10 if we could have. He's a cool guy and a good leader, so I hope he becomes a pro-bowler
A lot of people talk shit on the Patriots, but... 1.2m N95 masks sent over from China on the team plane.
Can't talk shit about getting shit done when the shit hits the fan. Never been a fan but they've been a fun team to watch, and you can't argue with winning. Haters gon' hate, they just jealous. I imagine Kraft was involved in a conversation that went something like: "Wait, there's a million of these masks that everybody needs just sitting there in China, and nobody can get them here? We've got a damn airplane just sitting there."
One of our local Bills beat reporters had a pretty interesting conversation with the guy that makes the NFL schedule. It's obviously a bit Bills-centric but it also goes into what a 17 game schedule might look like, how they determine what to make a national game, the possibility of every team playing a neutral site game, etc. If you're interested you can hear it here:
