Got the long list of dos and don'ts for tonight’s Ryman show. No food. No drink. So we will get our drink on before. No purses. WTF. Where am I supposed to put my shit? Going to have to get creative. No dancIng. Good luck with that. No moving seats. Ok. Masks up. NP.
I'm so excited for you!
I had a dream I was at a concert with my parents last night but left them to hang out with Rihanna. Pretty sure that's what will happen once quarantine is over.
If one more person comes up to my pharmacy saying they can’t breath in a mask, I’m going to bitch slap them into next Tuesday.
It's not a shock. It's 2020 and people still voluntarily smoke cigarettes. If they can't stop poisoning themselves for relaxation then why should we expect them to care about anybody else's well being?
I smoke because I'm an idiot, but still mask up everywhere I go because I'm not an asshole

C'mon, you know that's not what addiction is or how it works.
Results in 24 hours with a less invasive test is good, but I don't know that it makes events safe and able to happen, again. SafER? Sure. But the only way testing makes events totally safe is if, say, they had a checkpoint at the door at which you spit on a piece of paper that gives you results in a couple minutes, like a pregnancy test. and if it comes back positive - false result or true result - you're turned away. But we'd also have to get to a point at which those spit tests are PCR swab-accurate. I don't know how far we are from that, or if it's scientifically possible.

I think with festivals you could assume that everyone going and having an understanding that you have to half a negative test or youre sol means attendees would do their best to not expose themselves leading up to the event. Everyone is spending all that money and likely arent going to throw it away on a positive test. At this points its progress and having a company that is attempting to provide the service for large scale events is promising. Cause there has been zero info given by AEG or LN on what theyre gonna do. Maybe they are putting their money into a rapid test thats going through the process of approval, but this is better than nothing at all.
At Vanderbilt right now getting the second shot. The Doctor guesses that based on my side effects, and what other participants have said, that I got the vaccine.
I initially signed up for the Pfizer vaccine study but not sure I really want to do it. They sent me a message to call them.
It’s your decision. From my personal experience it’s been very easy. And Pfizer is probably the only other vaccine beside Moderna right now that I trust. They are most likely going to be the one on the market first.
It’s a great thing to do to help. If you have any concerns or questions hit me with a DM.
edit-however, Pfizer's vaccine has to be kept at -94 F and then once mixed is only stable in the fridge for 24 hours. Most vaccination facilities that can give shots to the general public in masses have NOTHING that can keep it that cold.

Plus if the tests are done at home you know people are absolute pricks and may use someone else's gargle just to get in. I don't trust people.
Are the folks from the study encouraging you to do otherwise risky activities, or do they want people to engage in life the same way they had pre-shots.

I think one of the requirements is that after the 2nd shot you have to go to a bar and land some strange

They purposely picked people that are exposed. I work with the general public and give shots all day long. So I was the perfect sucker/candidate.
They have not asked or encouraged us to change or adjust our risk factor. It’s business as usual for me. I’m not going to run down Broadway and drink at Tootsies without a mask.

Im sure there is something in there that would safeguard against that kinda thing. I mean I thought that they could force everyone to be tested via one center and there would be no way to fudge the results. They could wristband you and it has all your info on it so it has to match when you go to the festival site or you truly arent getting in.
A guy on the internet said you were supposed to, so you kind of have to now. Sorry, Mr. Druid.
In other news, I went to the grocery on the way home bc abrakapokus and the kids eat entirely too much popcorn. There was a guy proudly wearing his Socialism Distancing shirt but also wearing a legit mask in the exact proper manner. I was incredibly confused.
