I know it has been multiple years since I've done this shit, but is 10 pages standard for Day 1? And we aren't even done. Having some discussion & vote-switches can be helpful for Day 2 onward, certainly. But this many switches, some seemingly for no reason beyond maybe just muddying the waters??
We've had quite a few games like this in the last year or so. I personally like it and think a good detective will have a better shot of wading through more info even if some of that info is muddy.

It's definitely not the standard for there to be this much action on Day 1. The switches may confuse things, but the discussion (and lack thereof from some) will probably be helpful to the Inspector and other Townies. The switches may be useful to the Inspector, too, but probably less so for vanilla Townies. Pre-reveal, anyway.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

Sorry I don't have much to offer at this point, still trying to wrap my head about how all this works. I'm still paying close attention, just letting y'all vets take the lead.

If there's any confusion, we're here to help. You may have to make a pretty pivotal vote before the day is over.
I had looked at but as of yet I don't see a reason to.
Ok - I was asking on account of the revotes.
I usually feel like a lot of action near the end of D1 means we have some Mafia in the equation somewhere. While I wouldn't say I'm very suspicious of Maddog, I'm feeling more confident about Jaz and Carini being Town, so I'm not going to let my vote aid in that being the final duo.

Not switching my vote right now but definitely keeping an eye on things. Might end up moving. I don't feel strongly that any of these 3 are more likely mafia than the other 2, but I am quite sure at least one of them has to be given the amount of vote shifts we've had.

Jortles > Carini > Maddog
Where’s your town read on Jaz coming from?
And Carini, too, for that matter. If Jortles is not particularly suspicious of Maddog, why change? That doesn't really jive with the previous sentence to me. Movement means someone is Mafia, but Jortles isn't willing to commit to saying that Potent and myself moving off of Maddog specifically points to Maddog? I get trying to be cryptic, but of that's how you feel, Jortles, your actions are betraying your feelings anyway.
Personally, I feel more skeptical of MD and Jaz, so the composition of the runoff is good to me. Losing a revote sucks, but two two revotes are still better than one, and since I feel more sketchy about Jaz and Maddog than Carini, it may still be more useful for the Inspector to see things play out between the two of them than one and Carini, even with Jaz getting his vote back to vote for MD.

It's a personality / gut thing. If I explained it, it would not only be laughed off by everyone else and I'd be told "Mafia could EASILY do that," But i'd also be tipping my hand at how I read things which could be manipulated by Mafia moving forward.

To your first question: I think of it like a scale going from -10 to +10 (mafia to town read). You could say Jaz and Carini land at around a 4 on this scale while Maddog is around 0 or -1. So while I'm not very suspicious of Maddog, I feel good about voting for the person I'm least comfortable with. And of course my feelings could change about everything on Day 2.
But yeah I've known for a while that I was going to switch to MD if Carini or Jaz didn't do anything to raise my suspicion of them, and they haven't.

Come on guys, stop switching your votes first round.... Maddog goes from suspicious to not suspicious to suspicious... Feels like mafia is playing with town's mind too much and they're definitely involved in this.
Manders -> Carini -> Maddog
Also, people asking for a detailed explanation first round are in my opinion Mafia or too obsessed. No need to keep on changing votes this much, nor explaining why you chose to switch if you didn't even question the original vote.
Nah, I'm the conjuring spell. Messaged him on Facebook.
Manders this is your first game, yes? I'd strongly encourage you be active and more explanatory. It helps both the game move along so we don't get stalled waiting for you, and give us things to sift through to help us find the Mafia.
Not my first game. Although this game just feels like Mafia is trying to be too involved from the start (read protective) and it's throwing me off.
I'm actually stalling on purpose cause there's people changing their vote based on nothing and just to create a runoff for no reason at all.
Seeing the people who put pressure on the tiebreaker is where I learn the most from. If I then decide to vote and seeing someone being upset about it or not give too much details, makes them seem fishy.
Jaz, you're fishy as hell and if I get killed of this round I oblige everyone to look at this above message more clearly. The reason I'm not voting for you is to protect or sacrifice myself.
Very curious what would happen.
Stop playing mindgames in the first round. All I'm asking for.
With Jaz left to vote. Yup. But Jaz is sketchy as hell? All this talking about reasons for voting might have broken Manders's brain. Mindgames!
Don't underestimate my brain
I'll be very open in the next round who I think is mafia. Don't see the point in doing this now.
If I don't make it through the night.. just be smart about it.
Also, can mafia kill mafia? If so, all of what I'm saying is pointless and that just makes me look guilty. But quack it, just want to get to round 2 and see how you handle this.
