-I'm pro multiple Coachella counts multiple acts, I think it adds a nice wrinkle, but it wouldn't bother me. I'm not as boo hoo about the headliner situation, there's tons of good shit.
-pro master list, it's like 3000 acts it's not like it's color by numbers.
-fine with any seeding
-public votes are meh, idk how much it would influence voting, plus it's nice not knowing who I should be mad at when I lose
- After carefully working on the list of eligible acts for the last few days, we have come to the conclusion that artists cannot be picked multiple times even if they played more than once. There are more than 2500+ different acts (excluding the bonus acts), and ~80 headliner level acts. This means there are more than enough acts to draft 20 completely different lineups.
- Bonus acts? What does that mean? We’ve been thinking of ways to include 2020 acts creatively. But adding artists to the pool from a festival that hasn’t happened just didn’t make sense to us as the first sentence of rule 1 states, “only acts that have performed before can be drafted.” So here’s our solution: Between rounds 1-30, only acts from the master list can be drafted. Starting with round 31, bonus acts will also be available to be drafted. This list includes artists from the original 2020 lineup that haven’t played in any previous editions. To mix things up a little, we added acts that cancelled/dropped from previous editions to the list as well. If you don’t like any act from the bonus list, you can keep drafting from the master list. Lastly, to make it fair to everyone, we will be randomizing the draft order at the end of round 30 - and will share it in advance.
- We shared the master list and the bonus list (second post of the thread). Not everyone has the time to go over all the previous lineups, so I think this is fair to all. We did our best to include every act that performed (also cross-checked from different sources) but it might not be perfect. You don’t have to use this list if you don’t wish to, but if you pick something that is not included in that list (mostly unlikely but still), please provide a proof for your act if necessary.
- Finally, details of voting. Tournament will take place in two stages. In the first stage, drafters will be randomly divided into two groups of 5. Top 4 from each group (determined via polling) will advance to the single-elimination tournament. Seeds will be randomly determined in rounds of 16, 8, and 4 and voting will be public; i.e. you can reply to the relevant thread with your vote. Final match will be polled.
- Bing will be coming up with the draft order tomorrow his time I think.
- More details are on the OP, but feel free to ask any other questions to both of us if things are not clear.

Idk if randomizing seeds makes sense if we're already doing a poll to determine top 16. Sure the #1 will probably be the same but #2 and below won't be correct.

Yeah if there are poll results they should just be seeded by those results
