This thread was created three-ish days ago, so there's been plenty of time for input. Pepe said 12/20 were for such-and-such. Both of those things make me think everyone has, or at least has had ample time, to weigh in. Rules were posted today. Now we're just waiting on a draft order. It's almost go-time.
I just wanna get the game going so it’s whatever, but just wanna put it out there that 12/20 players were pro acts being drafted multiple times
Yes, we know. It's probably been the thing we've discussed the most to do or not to do it. We even made two masterlists for it to double check. It would add a lot of weight to the game if you all have to constantly check if there's enough Hot Chips left or not and we would have to constantly let people know how many times a certain act is still available. We thought that's a bit to much and would take out the fun of drafting cause of the constant check-ups that need to be done.
And are there 35 or 40 rounds? (The OP says forty (35))
The draft order changes after round 30 for a special five long bonus round where you can also pick of the second list (aswell as ofcourse the masterlist).
There are 35 rounds in total. Fred is gonna have to edit that one in the OP.
The non-exclusive aspect was by far the most interesting aspect of this draft.
We know and we really wanted to implement it but it just wasn't not managable to constantly have to check and tell y'all how many times an act is drafted and how much of them are left or to count on everyone constantly checking in and/or updating the masterlist. Idk, sorry about that. :/
8 am eastern, 10 pm Aussie time and 2 pm Bing time. Perfect time to share with you the order of the draft. Drafting will start at 12 pm eastern, so in a few hours. Everyone will have 12 hours maximum to make their pick until round 10. For the 5 bonus rounds, we'll share with you enough in advance what the draft order is gonna be. Fred will update the OP as soon as possible.

Hell ya, pretending to care got me a better pick. Plus cdevaney is gonna waste his first pick on Coldplay or something so things are looking up for everyone.

Fuggit... have to ask... what are we getting if we draft Kanye West? Are we drafting an exact set that he played, the zone he was in in a given year he played, his prime, current Kanye?
We're not picking sets, we're picking acts. If they disbanded or passed away then you should bill them how they would've probably been billed today. I don't think picking controversial acts like West (there are obviously more) in the last draft hurt Silver Surfer all that much tbh. For me personally, I don't think him doing MBDTF in full affected my opinion about the pick all that much. Since this is a semi-infinity draft, you should go out of that the artist you're picking is in their best of the period we're drafting in (there are obviously acts who were already active before Coachella was a thing).

i get it, it would have been a lot, i just think this was the game to try it. we have more time than we ever will, and it would of been great to actually differentiate this from the bonnaroo draft. for 35 rounds? with repeats? we could have kept up with it.

Being 20th is arguable better cause you're picking back to back, I feel like.

However you want it. You don't have to specify it (like "I'm picking 2006 Kanye") either. Unless you want to.
