I still feel a bit rusty since last game was my first one back in 3+ years, and being Inspector for the return felt like baptism by fire, but I have played somewhere between like 8-12 games of Mafia on this board before, back in 2015-16.

No need to apologize. I do think though that some people's brains more quickly/naturally pick up on Mafia mechanics than others. Fair for you to be suspicious of it, but I don't personally see it as such

I may change this after reading more... but im actually going to vote based on the D5 composition that I think it most winnable for Town since im not terribly confident in anything rn.
Rummy is currently the player that I am most neutral on and I feel like her contributions and and existence amounts to the least amount of substance for me to mine through on a potential day 5 if im still alive.
Rummy and Dan are also currently most suspicious to me based on gut. But Rummy is more so in a “i dont really know shit about her” way. Whereas Id be able to pull up Dans posts on d5 and have some more info to make a decision based on.

I am choosing to believe that NBF was telling the truth. Ever since the double reveals Danbob has had many moments that seem like he is looking out for town, but I can't shake the earliest parts of the game before we knew anything.
1. Danbob had first vote of the game and voted for Silver Surfer. They bantered about it. Voting for a teammate this early seems like an easy way to create distance while knowing you can move off them later. 2. Danbob never had a vote on him on D1. Neither did me, Jortles, or NBF, but I believe NBF was inspector. 3. The vote breakdown on LD right before Jaz came out as inspector was as follows: Maddog (Town), Me (Town), Jortles (NBF says town, I believe her), Jaz (I think mafia), Kanye (I think mafia), Danbob (gut says mafia) 4. Danbob was very adamant about not lynching Jaz so we could gather more information (This isn't necessarily a bad move, just worth noting) 5. Danbob voted to lynch NBF instead of Silver Surfer on D2.
Everything Danbob says now sounds like a townie, but I really truly feel that his vote history shows that he was on Kanye's team. As town, we don't know who our team is. It looks like Danbob knew, and it looks like his teammate was someone who has at minimum a 50/50 shot at being mafia, but I think he was mafia, and I think Danbob is mafia.

Leaning towards Jaz. My thoughts on inspector wont end up influencing my final votes though because im not confident enough and ... as always... gut cant be manipulated by mafia... voting based on actions can be.

Jaz made his inspector claim at 12:59 PM est. LD made his doctor claim at 1:33 PM est. LD had 7 posts in between those 2 times. Why did he wait until then to make the doctor claim, and not immediately?

I see what you're getting at, but this doesn't really solve it for me. Responding to "I'm inspector, LD is mafia" with "I'm doctor, Jaz is mafia" isn't very convincing. I will say that I was utterly convinced by Jaz when he came out as inspector. I thought the slip up where he named LD on page 2 was a perfect explanation for him being inspector. But also, mafia could have just seen that that happened and ran with it.

To me, his "I deserve that" felt like it came from the heart, and he was just sad that he was doctor and no one was going to believe him. Thats purely just how I read it though, who knows.
Especially LOL given that it is LD we are talking about here.
For those who haven't played Mafia with him before.....well, you know all you need to by way of the fact that he's the only player who has ever faked Inspector as townie--and done it MULTIPLE TIMES.

I'd have to feel a pretty high level of suspicion re: rooloo right now to put him up to 3 instead of evening it out to put him and Dan both at 2 each. And I'm about equally suspicious of the two of them (I think I have strongest town read on Jortles) and think it is quite likely one of them is our 3rd. So let's see how it shakes out if I even them out.
