Reread the rules and realized White Stripes are way more valuable since Jack White isn't eligible solo anymore. I'm trading for Cookin' Mama pick right here
I'm giving him Todd's 2nd,5th, and 10th picks he gave me for Jtr's pick right here
Along with this I think that rule one is bs. Why was it changed for this draft?

Rule #1 says other projects aren't eligible if the average setlist has 6 or more songs from a picked artist. Jack White always does like 6 white stripes songs, same with Roger Waters/gilmour/McCartney etc

blame Jake Jortles
Brilliant rule that eliminated countless hours worth of draft drama in every draft since. Fuck all the biting and people who can't draft their own shit.
But also we never did this for Infinity before lol. Surprised it went without discussion this time. Huge game changer.

I mean, have you doubled checked with those artists? McCartney sure but Jack White does not more than 6 TWS songs, pretty sure.

He does. It's like 6 average, some even have 11 lol

Yes he does. Guy wouldn't close a Bonnaroo tent off the strength of his solo material. Its a classic case of a pick that bites someone else's lineup. I'm happy to see it go.

Ya this is what is going to be interesting. The history of Jack White is yes more than 6 songs, but you can find setlists where this is not the case.

Paul Mc isn't a biter pick. All the Jay & _____ ones are, but this is also infinity. Like the idea more in regular drafts.

FWIW I'm fine with rule change. I feel like it makes the game a little harder and creates more variety.
I think Jack White/Waters/McCartney etc should be eligible if you have them perform a solo album or McCartney maybe wings stuff but as it stands they should be ineligible. This rule doesn't really change anything and only really removes like 10 or so notable acts

So earlier we were discussing what setlists to assume from artists (Beatles playing from later catalog, etc.) and the general impressions I had was that we got a good deal of leeway there and could essentially advertise their setlists however we wanted. Personally, I think it makes sense to still be able to draft Paul, Jack White, etc. with the stipulation they'll be playing predominantly solo material.
Raise your hand if you didn't read the rules before the draft started
Yeah I traded my pick last night because I really only wanted the white stripes but felt like I could just get Jack White later if I really wanted. Then I was joking around and told Todd to take the throne and Jortles mentioned the rule and I was like SHIT
Jack White performing Boarding House Reach or whatever should be eligible imo
That opens up a ton of loop holes
It would have to be advertised on the poster. I just think it would be cool to still allow these legends in some capacity if even only for superjams. No one really wants McCartney doing Egypt Station
