I don't want to rly give you pointers but I think for example a giant eagle will probably be undervalued in this even though it can scout, take out zombies that are far away, attacking from above where I would assume zombies won't be paying attention, etc.
And as animal that already has a taste for dead flesh, this guy is ready to take on both the zombies as well as play cleanup crew when my team is the last one standing.

as long as I’m safe I don’t really need zombies to be scouted out. They’ll find me eventually and we’ll have a massive head start assuming they’re slow
i think most of the stuff left that are beefy are exclusively gone, so i'll go with another stander, good with its hands, small enough to defend supplies, mean enough to get some licks in, can be trained to scout and scavenge, not contrained by terrain, is probably a bro, and would look fucking rad coming in on Ozzy Ostrich...
