I think the issue with a Komodo And some others is they’re very close to the ground. A headshot seems key to taking down a zombie.
For an alligator and komodo they can just take out some ankles and then bite the head when they're on the ground. Also those tails can clear out some space
Anteaters are usually not aggressive but have been know to seriously injure and kill humans when they’re threatened. In a scenario where he knows to fight for me I like my chances.
I almost drafted a pangolin at the end instead of the bat. It's got some wicked claws but they're literally toothless so I didn't think it would make the best choice.

This was kind of my thought with the Komodo and the coconut crab. They can grab, pull down, and then crush the heads.
Yeah just something that popped into my head that I hadn’t actually considered till this morning. Still think they’d be effective but it could hamper them a little bit.

There are surely better options, but I had crocs near the bottom of tier 1 or 2 with wolves and komodos. The more I've thought about this game I really think Bear / Gorilla are the best two. Maybe lion with them. Love how much control they have. They stand up. Could quickly move from one zombie to the next where as some of the other best options have to wind up to charge at zombies and knock them over. Whereas a gorilla could just be standing there. Smack one to his right then quickly smack another to his left.
Hard to go against elephant as the best. I think along with hippos and Rhinos the strength and thick skin would be important. My hawk is also going to be dropping large rocks and maybe even fire onto the zombie hordes while also simply dropping from the sky and crush skulls with its talons + it’s large enough to be a formidable fighter on the ground in a close quarters fight.

My monkey is going to have a machine gun and mow down waves of zombies
