Does it not say there are "some" exceptions? It then literally lists out examples
Are you seriously arguing that the only two person to whom the DJ exemption applies are Dan Snaith and Richie Hawtin?
The rule as written and as confirmed by the writer of the rule above was that the six song rule did not apply to DJs and producers performing under different aliases. It actually really makes sense, and honestly is so limited in the scope of what it allows that who really gives a shit if this zhu alias is allowed? Like why is this the hill you’re choosing to die on? I’d get it if there were tons of super dope DJ acts that you thought were ineligible and didn’t draft because of this rule but I’m betting that’s not the case.
So you think it's fair for someone to draft Gorillaz round 1 and then fair for someone to defat Damon Alvaen performing Demon Days?
Damon Albarn has never performed Demon Days. Now you’re just making up fantasyland ideas to try and support your incorrect interpretation of the rule.
And for the record yeah I think the six song rule is stupid. Like if you told me TAB was playing six phish songs, I’m still gonna take a full phish set. Tell me Jim James is playing 8 MMJ songs and I’m gonna take the MMJ set instead. You tell me Damon Albarn is playing six Gorillaz songs and I’m gonna take Damon Albarn anyway because honestly I’d rather see him just in general but it sure as hell isnt for the Gorillaz material. Seems like an overblown amount of nonsense to me.

Yeah it's a made up example I never said it wasn't. So you're cool with Peter Hook performing Power Corruption & Lies instead of Unknown Pleasures?

I mean your sentence literally makes no sense and I’m guessing the word you were looking for is ambivalent but okay.
I'm saying you're not ambiguous. Meaning that you don't interpret things to have multiple answers and that you don't have any room for difference. Example: the way you interpret all these rules the same no matter the acts

Are you under the impression he's a current member of New Order?
Are you under the impression he's a current member of New Order?
No
So that means Peter Hook and the Light contains no members of a previously drafted act and the rule doesn't apply. Why even bring up Hook? He can play whatever he wants. New Order's Substance would be my pick.

Both Dead Co and Bob Weir and Wolf Bros have been drafted and they play the exact same catalog of music. Why are we picking nits over a Zhu side project no one gives a shit about?

It isn't nit picking over a side project. It's applying to the rules to every single act regardless of inforoo appeal. The slippery slope agrument

JRAD and DSO, too. We have 4 drafted acts that play the Dead catalog, but the Zhu alias is ineligible because TV linked to one track list.

But, we didn’t apply the rules to every single act...
Your team didn’t even draft Zhu. Quit being narcs.
We didn't bring this up when it happened because we don't care but does Virtual Self play Porter Robinson songs? Someone picked Virtual Self immediately after we picked Porter. We didn't even think of objecting.

The rules are being applied. There’s a specific rule regarding DJ acts.
By the way, your desire to apply the rules to everyone in the same way is in opposition to your previously stated request for some ambiguity.
damn this Tkay pick was a heater. Im way behind and just listened now. Feels like the Little Simz Grey Area of this year. Really fucking good and perfect Thursday Roo act that they would stupidly book at 12:30 pm on sunday.
Ok, after further investigation and realizing that my team had actually done this event, ZHU Blacklizt is actually not even an act but a secret party concept.
It’s just a ZHU dj set where he likes to debut unreleased music. The tracklist I pulled up originally was from the Do LaB secret Blacklizt set and that had more than 6 ZHU tracks.
The Joshua Tree Blacklizt party that Bing pulled up had a full 28 minutes of new ZHU music being debuted.
