You arent losing that amount of acts tho. Its just more unique glue if we quickly draft out those last 50 acts over the course of 10 rounds.
theres gonna be a lot of acts that go and by the end I think we’ll be fighting over scraps. I get the issue with FAs but I like it as a nice wind down time at the end of a hectic draft to sort of fill in some holes and tie it together before heading into brackets. We always underestimate draft fatigue. The infinity 62 rounder was a good idea at the time but only bc 75 was an insane amount of rounds to begin with.
How many rounds and free agents are you expecting to do here.
The Other stage has changed multiple times, you should be able to book it however you want. During the voting, if someone votes up or down for consistency of stage (like when they were focused on international electronic acts for a year, some years which had more hip hop acts centered there, etc.) or perceived realism -- so be it.
And to be clear about Where in the Woods, it should be def. electronic, edm, etc. acts because it has taken over Kalliope pretty officially. 2019 involved a large staging area for it akin to a stage inside Centeroo as well as basically a 2nd barn outside of centeroo.

Just responding to the podcast trantsgiving I was the number 1 seed out of the preliminary round in the Coachella draft then I went out first round to tЯist♡n. I’m still pissed about it

the Orher is EDM or rap
In 2015, Ben Folds, Sylvan Esso, and Unknown Mortal Orchestra among others all played the Other, so not quite. And in 2016, you had people like Dungen, Blood Orange, Leon Bridges, and others play it.

we’re booking a 2021 Ither stage, not 2016 Other Tent

How does everyone else feel about this? I feel like I'm not the only one who wouldn't mind booking a 2014-era Roo lineup.
I think we should be able to see out our vision for Bonnaroo and not one constrained by their modern formula.
Thats the regular Bonnaroo draft that normally happens after infinity
Well, I think that people who don't create a realistic Other Stage in one way or another will be downvoted. Forcing them to select within the boundaries when we are building a full list first is really the question. I don't think they will do better in a simulation if they don't have an electronic, hip hop, or international Other Stage. We're over thinking people's selections.
No matter how realistic putting cheese in, at the end of the day, most people won't vote for lineups with cheese.
I thought the jist was to put up a realistic Roo that would cater 80k people. Ignoring The Other as a getaway for EDM-heads is the same thing as excluding cheese out of Coachella's Sahara tent. You're booking a line up for 2020/21, not for 2014. The old 'Other' tent is dead.
Not just reacting to you in particular btw, but I'm sensing a few people seem to think that they can just ignore the fact that dj's and edm culture is as much a part of Roo nowadays than some other things. There's a reason why they brought the Kalliope back.

I think I'm with TOSTIE on a lot of this. Please just let us make Bonnaroo great again. The talk of making us have 3am cutoffs and no sunrise sets was driving me mad. If I want to have to two late night acts on the Which Stage, a superjam then an act that goes on after superjam, and music till 6am like the Bonnaroo I remember I'm going to fucking do it.

that isn’t the point of the game lmao
I just want to be very clear on this.
- We have to book a "realistic" lineup for Bonnaroo 2021 - "Realistic" means adhering to the template of Bonnaroo in its most recent iterations - As of 2019/2020, the Other was reserved solely for the absolute worst, cheesiest, and most terrible music possible - Therefore, we can't select actually good acts to play the Other because that's not what would happen
Is this accurate? We're basically conceding that present-day Bonnaroo lineups are at least 70% garbage and so we need to book garbage acts?
