Pearl Jam is suppose to announce their May tour in January with no Boston show on original tour dates. They are a big enough band for people to forgive Rage cancelling.

they do nothing for me personally but i can see that going over well with the demo who wanted Rage. i just wanna know the undercard at this point
the festival had to have known Rage was out back when Coachella knew, so i bet they wanted the official Rage postponement announcement before making their own so that more people would understand it was Rage backing out and not the festival's fault... and then Rage didn't post the announcement last week (maybe they had originally planned to?) which is why the BC lineup was delayed...? obviously doesnt really matter, and plenty of idiots will blame BC as if they had any control over this, but it feels to me like that's why our lineup was delayed

I’d honestly poop a brick if that happened. I saw them in 2003 at Penn State and it was absolutely incredible.

im honestly pretty positive that RATM delayed announcing this until the fests that had them booked (Coachella and BC) could find replacements
i would legitimately love if it was Harry Styles, but I'm expecting Stevie Nicks or Metallica or maybe The Who after seeing them on NOLA Jazz Fest lineup. i suppose i'd be fine with any of these
There really dont seem to be that many tickets left for Tyler in the DCU center, a section or two which are nosebleeds pretty much behind the stage and then singles scattered in the upper section, maybe he would have been willing to listen to a last minute pitch.
looks like prices went up today too. GA says 369.99 plus fees, and i'm pretty sure yesterday (and the last several days) it was 319.99
Oooof, Id imagine that is gonna be a rough sell for a fest without Rage unless they did manage to get another top top tier headliner. Although it did sound like folks were talking about fest prices in general going up, I though I heard someone talking about a like $200 jump for Coachella.

as a point of comparison, in February/March 2020 before cancellation, the GA Boston Calling price got as high as 399.99 before fees. so i'd expect it to be the same this year. still it's tough timing to post a $50 bump while removing the main announced artist that people had been excited about

Yeah, and I think they were able to keep the lineup drop price around 300 the year before. Obviously everything seems to be feeling the inflation of the past few years but that doesn't mean anyone is going to rationalize or be happy about it, esp on the heels of this news.
Realistically, here is who I think will replace RATM (descending based on likelihood): Metallica Stevie Nicks Harry Styles Kendrick Lamar Pearl Jam Post Malone The Who Ye The Weeknd Nine Inch Nails

Its worse than that. 2020 ticket price was $441 after fees for GA. Pricing list for all tickets in 2022 is below in the link. Add $17 for shipping, too. Enjoy
