Sounds like Rage dropped out of Coachella just this past week. Curious to see if they’ll cancel the entire tour. I hope not, but signs are pointing towards that happening. Wouldn’t shock me if we got a top line of Foos, Green Day, and The Strokes instead. Looks like they followed GD on Insta recently.
11/19: Caribou 11/22: Ranger Trucco 11/29: Armand Van Helden* 1/16: L'Impératrice 1/30: Jamie xx 2/1: DJ Seinfeld 2/7: Mild Minds* 3/1: Father John Misty* 3/19: Confidence Man 3/23: DARKSIDE 5/8: Rüfüs Du Sol

Bon iver in the rain is one of my all time favorite festival memories and then I was pretty drunk by the time chance rolled around so I had a perfectly good time but will never feel the need to see him again

i would only see him again if he did an Acid Rap anniversary tour. I have doubts he’ll even tour again tho

I feel like if you are a fan of two artists and one is a rapper and one is any other genre you are more likely to get a better show from the other genre….in my experience at least

ehhh not necessarily, for example tegan and sara vs danny brown, danny brown is the clear winner. Tyler vs QoTSA i felt tyler was better having seen both. but in the case of like, Young thug vs Jamie, jamie was the clear winner. My friends went to see thugger instead and he only played 15mins lmfao. I feel like it also depends on the type of hip hop too

uhh no
pretty racist take too, whether intentional or not
I mean it’s not particularly hard to phone in a live show as a rap/hip hop artist, lean on your DJ/hype man, have a heavy backing track, just be generally low energy or late.
Just thinking back to 2017, Migos and Russ were terrible where Flatbush and RTJ delivered. It also really comes down to personal preference, I was kinda interested in checking out Logic but man am I glad I ignored that thought and committed to Brandi Carlie

its been so much worse in years prior, this thread has been dead compared to how it was pre 2020 and 2019 editions. I really hope we get something worth the massive pricetag this time around bc 2020s undercard was dogshit

Is the $319 price up there right now the “Holiday” pricing or was that lower and $319 is probably what it will be on line up release? Would be a good chunk cheaper then the 2020 release day pricing of $399
And I wana see RJD2 on the line up again, such an out of left field booking that I was very much in for!
