If you don't actually understand what an NFT is but you heard other people talking about all these amazing use cases, it's ok to say so, it's very common

What does a blockchain add to ticketing that cannot be done more efficiently without one?
Less fees, more security. But I honestly believe more in the gaming aspect
We already have fully secure ticketing systems without a blockchain, those constantly changing qr codes on my phone aren't getting hacked as far as I know
How does a blockchain reduce fees? Every person I've heard talk about tickets on the blockchain talks about how they want to use it to give the artist a cut of secondary market sales - so, more fees
Upon examination, every NFT use case falls apart immediately

There's still fake tickets, wristbands, etc.
There wouldn't be a $40 "convenience fee"
The royalties come off of the sale price, it's not extra money coming out of thin air

You think the $40 convenience fee exists because of tech? lol. I can create my own ticketing company today without a $40 convenience fee, no blockchain needed
"There's still fake tickets" just means that not every ticket seller is using available tech to secure tickets. Which will obviously still be the case no matter what nfts are out there.
