There's one specific unique lineup I doubt anyone will be able to match at any point, they're just too creative. The other 4 I could see going down at any point.

Deadline is technically noon Saturday, but if I can get everything in by ~4p tomorrow we can move the whole schedule up by a day. Best part is, the people who are usually the last 3 have already turned in their round 6 picks! I'm only missing 9
the MJ stuff is the most interesting one to me about how people take it because he has beaten the allegations in court three times, but everyone thinks he did it
Mhmm. In the US judicial system, no less, which is obviously flawless with respect to how wealthy the parties happen to be.
The Katt Williams (also cancelled lol) bit on this basically closes the door on MJ, as far as I'm concerned:
"I like [women], so at my house I've got stuff [women] like. I've got silk pillows. Those aren't for me, those are for [women]. Michael Jackson has a damn amusement park in his backyard."
If that doesn't do it for anyone, watch Leaving Neverland.
ya for a comedian what Michael Jackson looked like was pure gold, especially when trans type jokes were perfectly fine for most people. Kat goes “Michael was a black man who wanted to be a white woman his whole life”. I'm simply saying that I'm not sure he did what he was accused of, there's no questioning that he made people extremely uncomfortable with the way he both looked and acted late in life.

The point wasn't what he looked like lol the point was that he had a bunch of stuff to lure kids at his house and was accused of being a child predator for two decades.
Doesn't seem to support the "it was for money" narrative that Jackson fans push that two of these boys' fathers committed suicide either, imo.
im not saying it was some guy going for their money conspiracy all I'm saying is that if someone beats a crime three times in court then I personally don't think its a 100% chance he did it. Some lower percentage like 30 or 40 to me

But that is the implied motivation if he didn't actually do it. What would it be otherwise? This was consistently the argument made by Jackson apologists and his legal defense: that anyone making these claims (ranch staff, parents, etc.) was out for tabloid money.
What were the other two cases you're referring to besides 2005? There was a civil lawsuit where Jackson settled for $23M back in 1993. I wouldn't say that a settlement is evidence of guilt, but it's definitely not exonerating. The 2005 criminal trial did not include the family as witnesses and clearly the burden of proof is high in a criminal trial, and further complicated when it's happening so much later and certain witnesses aren't willing to testify. Regardless, the most famous person in the world mounting a successful legal defense doesn't mean to me what it means to you.
The man openly admitted that he shared his bed with young boys. He's been accused many times over, and his staff corroborated a lot of abusive behavior in court. Whether he beat the charges or not, there's a lot of evidence that he ruined a lot of people's lives.
Regardless, a 30-40 percent chance that someone sexually abused children is still pretty high!

the ruined peoples lives part is a good point, hadn't really thought of it that way, he undoubtedly did that. Honestly it probably doesn't make sense for me to play innocent until proven guilty here, not really the point on some of this stuff, I think you are right

Honestly, I felt a pretty similar way to you until I saw that documentary, Leaving Neverland. Even outside of being damning for MJ, though, it's a pretty illuminating portrayal of grooming and how these relationships work. The boys felt that they were in a loving relationship with Michael and didn't think of it as being anything wrong. Even now, they seem to have some conflicted feelings about the whole thing, and they both note that if not for having sons of their own that they wouldn't have been able to understand the mind of children and how innocent they are, that there was a disconnect for them in recognizing the abuse done to themselves, but that they would definitely not want something like that happening to their children.
I want to tie that into the Drake/Billie Eilish/MBB thing as well. I'm not sure what I think about Drake. The evidence is there that he's done some inappropriate stuff, but not necessarily anything approaching what Jackson did. However, I don't think that what Billie says is very meaningful in absolving Drake of any grooming behavior, because that's what grooming is. Grooming is making the child feel as though what is happening is appropriate. If she were a victim of successful grooming, that would necessarily mean that she felt that way about what happened.
Anyway, this is all pretty off-topic at this point, so I'm sorry if I veered too far off course. Yall have fun with the draft!
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
