keep matt ryan in your prayers. it will be a miracle if he stays healthy all year.
playing behind this OL must be absolutely terrifying.
You’re never going to win with Matt Ryan.
You obviously haven't watched the Falcons the past 13 years if you think Matt Ryan is or has ever been the issue with this team.
No OL, terrible defenses, and no run game for basically his whole career and he has still produced elite numbers, won a MVP, and would have a SB if Quinn doesn't coach the worst half in NFL history.
Matt Ryan should be awarded some type of settlement for the amount of damage/trauma he has been subjected to over the years.
Matt Ryan isn’t the problem, but he’s not the solution either
This. They made it to the super bowl because the defense was good .
the Superbowl team was ranked 25th in total team defense, only had one game all season/post season in which they held the opp to less than 2 tds, and gave up 75 points through 3 playoff games

Don’t expect Sang to know what he’s talking about MD

The defense that ranked 26th in total points against, 27th in points given up per game, 17th in rushing yards allowed, 28th in passing yards allowed, and 25th in total yards allowed. Right.
It definitely wasn't the #1 scoring offense/#2 total yards led by Matt Ryan in a MVP season. Definitely wasn't because Matt Ryan threw for 400 yards 4 tds, ran for a TD, and posted a 140 QBR in the NFC Championship game against the Packers to win 44-21.

I also very much enjoyed the Steelers win today. Bills got us the last two years so it felt good to get this one in Buffalo. I think a lot of people have been sleeping on the Steelers, which is why, I hope people continue to do that.
I knew the Jags would be a dumpster fire this year. I didn’t expect it to be that bad on both sides. Also how about Darnold putting up competent numbers. I know it’s against the Jets but still nice to see as a Panthers fan.

25 points per game in the playoffs isn't that crazy, particularly when 34 points were in a game that went to OT. They played two and a half games of good defense. Then they didn't.

Not trying to say Ryan wasn't a great player back then. And the defense was bad in the regular season. But they played well in the playoffs. And I don't know if Ryan is an elite level player anymore, based on the past couple seasons.

Point being that defense was a lot better than they are now.

Atlanta has to live with that contract for 2 more years so barring injury, this is who theyre getting under center.
nothing I've seen today suggests anything other than Bucs v Chiefs in the SB again.
bills have holes, titans blew it, Ravens running on fumes w injury, packers suck, Nola clearly won't sustain winning w Jameis throwing less than 100 w multiple tds
both teams are just so clearly the only teams that you just can't give a ounce of leeway, too stacked offensively, just enough on d
also Jamal Williams continued right where he left off and maybe the pack shouldn't have spent so much on a rb when they had 3 good ones and gotten Rodgers some actual help
