I forget which festival it was in Europe, but remember the lineup skewed to a younger crowd and they played at the same time as the RHCP. My favorite moment is when James opens his eyes during the first song and must have actively looked a the size of the crowd for the first time and just mouthed “wow” and shook his head.

I saw them twice in 2016 and the Loufest crowd was way better than the Coachella weekend 2 crowd. Loufest only cost $100 that year so if felt like a ton of people in the Midwest traveled for that festival for a chance to see LCD at a reasonable price, since they really only played major music festivals up until that point.
LCD should always play multiple nights at smaller venues in my mind. I really enjoyed that concept for both them and NIN on their most recent tours.
maybe I’m just wrong but I don’t buy the idea that Radiohead + the return of sonic youth wouldn’t sell. Radiohead sold out the AAA in 2017
I’m not totally sold on Sonic Youth moving a ton of tickets but Radiohead basically sells out their day by themselves.
SY ticket sales feels hard, they def couldn't do an arena tour but they could maybe sell out pavilions. at the very least the billing feels warranted, kim and thurston feel like they get overbilled because of SY, and the reunion feels big on paper. at the very least I think it would garner a lot more RS/Pitchfork pub than most of the other reunions

I probably reached on NxWorries, idk how many casuals know that it's Paak + an awesome producer. I heard they had some club shows planned before the pandemic

Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
Group C (This really was the toughest group, I think I would have had Fred in the top 2-3 in most other groups)
Tranter F&P Sang Rummy Fred
Group D
YouCoolMan Jortles whereispassionpit R kvothe
Just a quick explanation, I went with a cutoff point of "will this sell less than 15k a day and seriously break the upwards curve", and if you didn't qualify, I moved that fest to the bottom. The fests I feel worst about doing that to are R and kvothe in D, but this also qualifies for Theo and Pepe. Everyone did a great job. This was way harder than I thought it would be
How was their Bonnaroo 2016 crowd? At Coachella I was able to get to the front.
Probably 9 rows back from the front and center. Waited through J Cole in the pit line. The most fun 1.5 hours of my life tbh. No idea how the rest of the crowd was but the pit was dancing.
I honestly recall their Panorama crowd to be somewhat thin and that was even in NYC. Glasto set was even smaller as you can imagine, though to be fair it was raining. At Coachella in 2010 the majority of the crowd was camping for Jay-Z and so it was kind of weird. Not everyone was into it. They did seem to win some over though since many were hearing them for the first time, but there were far more just standing around, waiting for the headliner.
As others have said this was extremely tough. There were so many toss ups and I genuinely feel bad for ranking the lineups at 4 and 5, but someone had to end up in that slot. As for my lineup, I've been kicking myself for taking Tyler instead of Sufjan pretty much since it happened. I had it in my mind that those weren't strong enough as a Top 2, but in hindsight Sufjan would have been the perfect opener for Bjork and there would have still been plenty of complimentary co-headliners available for my later picks.
This will probably be the last draft I'll do for awhile. It absorbs a ton of time and the need for "likes" effected me a little more than I would like to admit. Regardless, this was fun and I definitely discovered a lot of new electronic music that I was not aware of before this started.
On a parting note, Zero 7 are awesome. I would highly recommend everyone who is not familiar with them to listen to When It Falls at your earliest convenience.

I'm a Quaker and feel bad about having to rank someone LAST for each group--just want to apologize in advance because I'm lame like that. Sucks because I think pretty much all of these are good to great to really great.
Gonna need to do this piecemeal because I'm "working" or whatever--will try and finish all 4 groups by tomorrow afternoon tho.
Group A 1. JTR: Susanne Sundfor> Perfume Genius> Brian Eno or Angel> Kate Bush> Andy Stott or Grinderman> Orbital (super good day wow) // Holly Herndon> first bit of Mary L> Spiritualized> Jonsi or Julia H> Yves> Aphex> Peach> Amon Tobin
2. Cash Me: Weyes Blood> This Mortal Coil> some of Yung Lean or Palms Trax> Fiona Apple> Aluna> D'Angelo> end of Helena Hauff> Maceo Plex // Kim P> Bad Gyal> City Girls> PC Music> Phoenix> Jai Paul> Bad Bunny> Bangalter> Virtual Self
3.Teddy & Gibson: Confidence Man> Venetian Snares> Max Cooper> Grace> the Blaze> LCD> Vince Staples> Plastikman // Romy> Afrodeutsche> Clairo> start of Annie Mac or Flume> Soulwax> Missy E> Tabaloman> Peggy
4. Theo: > Kali> ?> part of YYYs> Neon Indian> Bon Iver (mad this conflicts with GusGus!)> Big Thief or Ame> Underworld> The Field b2b Koze // Kelela> The Field or Best Coast> US Girls> AnCo> Cocteau Twins> EitS> Koze
Group B - this group felt really tough to judge because a few of them were really close and just came down to personal preference + how well I think they scheduled the flow of things they drafted.
1. Gocats:
Sudan Archives> Phoebe> first bit of Pavement then Hopkins b2b KLO> Squarepusher> Objekt> DARKSIDE // Little Dragon> Sevdaliza> KLO> first bit of Floating Points DJ> Outkast> maybe bounce over to BR> Kaytranada
2. Bing:

4. Maddog: Bikini Kill or Honey Soundsystem> MIA> Jean Michel Jarre> Charli> NIN> Autechere> Beyer x Cirez // Madlib> Stereolab> Slowthai> FKA> Chairlift> end of LDR> Apparat> Solomun
5. Todd: Kevin Abstract> Thundercat or Preoccupations> JPEG> Doja> FlyLo> Odd Future> Alex G> Gesaff // The Comet> Poppy> Dan Deacon> Panda Bear> RTJ> Atomic Bomb> James Murph
I need to stop typing out the whole schedules of what I'd see in my quote of posts here, just know that I *have* gone through all the schedules and used that as part of the, though not the only, measurement by which to assign rankings.
Group C - as I've already said, I think this group is so so tough, and although I'm really proud of and pleased with the lineup I made, I do not feel confident at all that I'll make it to the next round because all four other lineups in this group are also great. So even you down there at #5, yours is super good! 1. Rummy 2. F&P 3. Sang -- reallyyyy close call between Tranter and Sang for third, but Sang has it by a hair with the scheduling. Also, shoutout to sang_xcx for pulling together a super solid iii points even after he was nervous he wasn't gonna do a decent job with the electronic bookings. 4. Tranter 5. Fred
Group D 1. r -- gahhh that Kiasmos-->Robyn-->Burial-->Modelselektor run 2. youcoolman 3. kvothe 4. Jortles 5. whereispassionpit

Group A: Me - obviously i like my own best, I think i sell out, and I also was able to target more niche/rare acts. JTR - Crazy good headliners for me. Theo - Cocteau Twins, a bunch of stuff that feels like it's targeting my vote like Ecco2k, Danny L Harle, sega bodega, evian christ, etc. Teddy/Gibson - great lineup, lcd is my favorite band but doesn't have something like Kate Bush/Cocteau to immediately grab my attention and i don't know the electronic names as well. KPO - Billie Eillish/Kid Cudi doesnt sell me as much as any of the other headliners here. Lots of great stuff on here. I think Carti should have headlined.
B Gocatsnu - feels like the best ticket seller in this grouping, great reunion bookings like outkast, darkside, pavement. i like alot of the boiler room/iso names. Jimmaddogmattis - pretty good high names, decent electronic and I think it sells pretty well. Pepe - one of my favorites personally but I feel like this lineup struggles to sell any tickets at all. Todd - this looks the most like an actual iii points lineup to me which is not huge on the high names for me personally. Bing - I don't really get the National fit for iii points, this lineup is still really good but probably has the most names I don't know which makes it hardest to judge.
C Fred - consistently great names top to bottom and I think it sells well. Tranter - . some of the best big names in the game but I don't care much for the electronic bookings. It has Frank Ocean. F&P - some of the best electronic bookings. Dua and the other big names are great for me. rumdawg - some of my personal favorite bookings in this grouping but I think it doesn't sell amazingly. Sang - It's crazy to have last because Sang's lineup is great but someones gotta be last
D R - my favorite boiler room/Isotropic other than my own. great names up and down but probably wouldn't sell out YCM69 - dont like it as much as R's booking wise but I think it sells better Jortles - really good names, meh selling. WIPP - definitely sells best but also the most stuff i dont care about Kvothe - feels bad to put this last because it's great up top but has the most stuff on the lineup that I don't know at all.
Group B - this group felt really tough to judge because a few of them were really close and just came down to personal preference + how well I think they scheduled the flow of things they drafted.

That’s right, everyone shout me out. I got a lot of help with the djs. I’m just happy I’m not last in all of them and even 1st in a couple. I’ll try to vote today when I get home.
