Dan being Inspector almost seems a bit too easy, but Occam's razor and all...he's worth being in the runoff. Otherwise the ones worth most looking into are Potent and Maddog. I have slight town reads on Theo and Rummy due to Theo's move off of Dan and onto Tranter in Rd 2, and Tranter's vote onto Rummy in Rd 1. Could be some decent distancing but it reads townie to me.

im beginning a reread now. Glad to see we got a mafia despite me bitchin for rummy lol. Just looking at silvers post's make me think there's a slight chance he was whacked due to his last couple posts about tranter. Teddy seems to a possibility too, maybe he was pushing for me because i was correct for calling him mafia? Not sure he would switch off him and onto me in that case though. We'll see what the reread brings

I’ll accept your apology whenever you are ready to give it bb
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

His posts on the last couple pages look like he’s putting in a very similar style of effort as last game. In addition to that, I really like his quick “thanks” response to me saying that.
Ok so just completed my reread. My thoughts on the whack are pretty unchanged. I think it really points to teddy, tranter, and myself - aka teddy. I don't see the argument that it's anyone else so if we exile teddy here and he's town then it will mean it's likely the whack is a straight misdirect (or the worst case that silver is inspector with tranters name), knowing I'm town. Rummy and theo are probably my strongest town reads at this point. I don't think mafia tranter would force rummy into the runoff, meaning there would be 2 in the runoff. I also don't see a mafia theo just randomly forcing tranter into the final runoff for no gain when he could have just stayed put. So aka I think my gut was wrong about rummy yesterday (sorry Rummy!).
In terms of runoff potential I think that teddy, potent, mad dog are the top three options from my pov. I understand the case for me so I expect me to be in there as well. Teddy for the whack and the fact tranter chose jortles over him round 1, potent for the fact that he voted for tranter in a low stakes way which makes it prime for distancing and he later moved off, and mad dog because he similarly voted then switched off of tranter. This is also the group of people who ended up voting for rummy so there's a split narrative there as well. Think it's likely theres a mafia in the group.
Jortles, kpo and jaz are all unknowns to me. Jortles has played things pretty safe and kept his vote on tranter the whole day so idk how to read that. Kpo and jaz both have stacks on tranter that could or could not be distancing. Jaz's move reads the more likely distancing move here, he also defend me saying mafia as a joke, which would be easy as maf to say because he would know it's truthful. I realize that's not a strong case though.

are you saying potent and maddog because of what they did on page 5?
If you're referring to the fact that they both switched off of Tranter, then yes. I know you're playing a "not looking at votes, just style/gut" game, but I'm mostly looking at votes rn.

Im talking mostly about how Maddog said he didnt like the revote situation and then Potent “fixed the revote issue” by switching off Tranter. But yes Maddog did additionally switch off tranter too.

Jaz look about halfway down the page when md says he doesnt like the revotes then the 4 votes that follow it including the tally. Id quote everything but I suck at mobile

Gotcha. Actually yeah in that context I think both Maddog's point about not wanting Dan and Tranter to be the revoters and Potent's switch to correct that both make sense.

its interesting that you take that to “make sense” in that you no longer find it noteworthy where I think this specific sequence significantly heightens the likelihood that one of those two are mafia. I find it unlikely that theyd do that together, but I think one or the other was conveniently using that (good) excuse to help save tranter.
And to be honest Theo turned around and ruined that for Mafia. That would have been a pretty aggressive move by Theo as Tranters mafia teammate.

I don't think it's something that they would do together either, but yeah I don't find it noteworthy for someone to move so that two of the people with revotes aren't the two people in the runoff. If one of them is Mafia then I agree that they had a good excuse.
Oh wait.
Yeah I see what you're saying. I'm leaving the above two sentences up so that you can see my original line of reasoning, but as I was typing out the last sentence it clicked. I still think it's something that could have happened between two townies and the Mafia just got off easy with that particular exchange (until Theo put Tranter back in), but it could easily have been Mafia working the situation to their advantage also.
but since that's sort of been beaten to death, should look into the reverse? basically in my head I've been thinking more about how relied on that's been recently, and then how easily manipulated that is...
so, first four: KPO Silver Theo Rummy
no votes KPO, theo, Jaz, Potent, which is honestly been a more fruitful grouping than either direction 4
