They havent announced specifics for transferring 2020 passes to 2022 yet have they?
Our desert homecoming is officially set for April 2022: weekend one will take place on April 15-17, 2022 and weekend two on April 22-24, 2022. We have enormous gratitude to each of you who have held on to your passes as we have scheduled and rescheduled our return.
If you have friends who want to attend, they can sign up for access to the advance sale beginning Friday, June 4th at 10am PT. Let's get back - to that feeling when your mind slips away during that golden hour set, to live music, to sunsets, to time together. 318 days until Coachella.
Your orders will automatically be good for the weekend you've purchased. If your plans have changed, you may request a refund starting at 10am PT on Friday, June 4 until 5pm PT on Sunday, June 11 by following this link and requesting a refund for your order.
I don't think people would be upset if the 2020 lineup remained the same. They're supposed to be doing something for people who held on to passes anyways, so we shouldn't have a reason to complain
Yeah, doing something for everyone who held onto passes means TO MAKE THINGS BETTER FOR MAKING US WAIT SO LONG.
well they did something for everyone who held onto passes. raised the prices
Considering that a good portion of the tickets for this have already been sold and things are selling out like crazy recently there is no reason to expect this not to sell out.
Itll sell out of whatever they put up. As mentioned there is less inventory as it is. And it could be a tier 3 price in January or some middle ground, who knows. The fees thing just changed probably cause they want to be somewhat more transparent with things . They just decided to switch from the all in price for who knows what reason. Maybe not so much sticker shock?

I’m expecting the lineup to be like 1/2-3/4 of the original acts, sounds about right?
Which is fine since I personally liked the lineup, just sucks to pay more for it now, unless they are adding some bigger names on line 2 than last time
With Orville Peck now evidently big enough to play Red Rocks, I'm reeeeeeeally curious where he'll be billed (if he even makes it to the 2022 lineup).
I think he will go up a little but nothing ridiculous. The red rocks show isnt reflective of a tour anyway. Cause this seems like a one off and he isnt trying to do some mid size/outdoor amp tour along with it. Hasnt announced an La show at the greek or hollywood bowl yet. Regarding country, I can def see Kacey Musgraves back with her new album and get borderline sub status plus headline Stagecoach.

idk, even with a lot of buzz and a cult following, I don't think Orville Peck's brand of spacey indie country is going to make him go supernova or anything in the next few months.

*laughs in musgraves*
yeah, but Kacey was on a major label, had already won a few Grammys, and already had a few genuine hits. Orville Peck's song with Shania Twain, which was surely a play for something similar to happen, only has like 2.5 million streams on Spotify.

I mean, Red Rocks is a 9500 capacity venue (note: I'm uncertain if his show is full cap given covid). It's a major venue that would under most circumstances guarantee a 3rd line billing at least.
Fwiw Red Rocks shows probably draw more than your usual club shows because it’s red rocks. There are artists I’d be more inclined to see because they’re at red rocks

yeah but that might just a riding the waves thing, easier for someone like him to blow up in a post golden hr world

Its full cap. They announced Red Rocks is 100% capacity in 3 weeks. But yeah, its something people will go to because of the venue and out of the lack of other events. If we’re gauging billing here via Red Rocks bookings then Rufus Du Sol is currntly sub status since they have 2 sold out shows there, plus the 3 stadium dates in LA that will be all sold out when they roll around in Nov.

(Whispers) Rufus is at least a #3, but possibly a sub now, yes. It’s right in line with and in the same vein as ODESZA.
So, if I sold my 2020 passes on Stubhub, and they're sending out new 2022 wristbands for those that held onto their 2020 passes, I'm assuming they'll have to send the new wristbands to me, then I'll have to send those to the buyers of my 2020 passes?
Actually just got an email about this and Stubhub deemed the even cancelled and cancelled the sales (presumably because Coachella is now going to be a “new event”). That just made my Friday a lot easier.

yola has a pretty big draw as a co-headliner, especially with the country crowd. It won't sell out, but it will sell fine, I’d think, it was a show I was looking to see if was going to tour nationally because I love Yola and would be decently interested in Orville
