Yeah, all I heard was that the line up was mostly the same but not specific artists. There's a few artists I know announcing tours for spring time in CA but won't be on the line up.

She did???? Because her new album was amazing and it seems like it'll be really fun live
Harry Styles would be a headliner today if he were to play.
Harry's agent would demand the headline slot and thats not to say Harry himself feels he has to headline. There is a big difference there. Its going to be weird with a lot of notable artists who have sold out tours they have yet to go on and just their status overall when it comes to festivals. Now we want to use the metric of time passing as to why somebody is ''bigger'' now. So they have 1 number 1 song and thats it with 2 albums, what else does Harry Styles as a headliner bring to the table. Is he gonna have One Direction reunite onstage? Lots of guests? This isnt like Ariana Grande where you have an artist that has a sneaky deep catalog of songs people know cause they were on the radio all the damn time.
And the no Frank thing finally gets its closure thank jesus. With Stagecoach losing a headliner I guess coachella had to match them on that front.
With the names mentioned I think its probably down to Taylor, Adele or BTS. Taylor seemed primed to hit all the u.s. fests in 2021 after that europe run and limited shows in 2020. Plus the u.s. stadium shows were being put on by AEG. Adele is waiting on her album announcement until it seems that a ''tour'' ( whatever thats gonna be ) can be done without covid. BTS is the big dice roll since 2 of their members will turn 30 next year and have to enlist in the military. So either GV tries for the farewell or they get em on the come back which can be gauged as to how BIGBANG does with their reunion since it was similar circumstances for some of the members other than the legal trouble of one member. Kendrick might be odd one out unless theyre fine with 2 rappers? ( who wants to make that argument on that ) Bad Bunny and Billie are in interesting situations since theyre on Live Nations tours which cut right through the radius clause. So I would say those 2 are essentially back up to whoever they cant lock up. I think the Billie victory lap for 2023 still seems to be a better play cause there is going to be some oversaturation with her next year.
Ill throw in Radiohead as a random/safe choice cause why not.

Coachella-headliners usually have a bunch of well-selling albums under their belt and/or are critically aclaimed. Harry isn't headlining lol.
Also Billie isn't doing festivals apart from maybeee Glastonbury, I heard.
Glastonbury looks like a place holder til its not. Elton John has an opening the same weekend so thats 2 big names in place just in case one of their original 3 isnt returning.

I think Billie and Bunny are just unlikely due to their tours, unless they pull an Ariana and move their LA dates back for after Coachella. My personal preference is Adele here. But I'd rather them get someone who wasn't on the 2019 line up. I know circumstances of covid messed with the headliner pool pecking order, but I'd just rather it not be someone I saw at the most recent Coachella.
It’s an interesting situation where people are bummed, myself included, that Frank isn’t playing, but it seems clearer than ever that Frank legit does not enjoy playing live shows at all. Seeing him live at this point feels like pleasure over someone’s source of discomfort
