Can someone remind me where the tiki bar is again?
In between Gobi and Mojave. Theres the AMEX tent and next to that is like a literal tiki style stand with a person handling capacity and somebody that lets you in and walks you back there.
Guess I might wanna hit up the 80's one just to see how it is. Thats literally just walking in an no password to those who went in there?
If anyone's looking for W2 tickets still, message me - a couple of my friends just tested positive for Covid and now can't come. Not sure how much they're looking for but we can figure that out if you make an offer.

So, set times appear to possibly be coming sooner ( today ) rather than later( tomorrow ). Decent amount of press releases went out today confirming W2 times. Just curious about Aespa, whether theres another AF spot and maybe Joji not performing on Sunday.

I initially thought that but their statement wording makes it sound like a totally separate thing. They are also not the first female kpop group to be on main. You technically could argue 2NE1 was that with their reunion despite only being on stage 10 mins. So it sort of points to their own set out right.

Hmm. Just going off their statement saying "first girl group to be invited to perform on the main stage".
Anyway, it appears that Danny Elfman is gonna step it up W2. He didnt realize the sound mix couldve been better along with other stuff. And I rewatched his stream set and they really did not let the movie visuals get onto the broadcast. I guess still some copyright issues with that. That really wouldve made some people get way more into I think if they shows like the Nightmare sequence cause his voiced was synched with Jack on screen.

"Elfman said that the mix will be fuller next weekend, too, after talking more with the Coachella production team. “I only just learned today that they were trying to do their own mix from scratch in the audio truck, with 50 players, you know what I mean? And so a lot of the band didn’t make it into that feed out of the music,” he noted. “I just assumed they were getting the same feed that we were giving the house, but they weren’t, so next week they will, and it’ll be even better because you’ll hear the guitars."
^does he mean the webcast mix? if you saw it live, check the webcast and see if it sounded different.
No, the guitars are there in the stream. Even the panning was apparent in person like it is on headphones right now. Ill say this, it sounded way better than Hans thats for sure just if you compare the orchestra pieces. And in 2017 they fucked up the sound in person anyway. Only the Pa on the stage was working for his set and the delay towers had like little feed and that lost some of the power the music has.
CL, who was a member of 2NE1, was explicitly announced as a part of 88rising and had previously worked with them so unless they make a separate announcement with different performers I’m going to guess Aespa is a different thing.

Pretty sure aespa will be with 88rising. There was some leaked promo card that mentioned aespa along with other 88rising performers shortly before their set last Saturday.
Sounds like they’re going to announce a different 88rising lineup for W2 also. Jackson Wang is already back in Korea as is a couple of members from 2NE1.

Mmm that’s a bit disappointing, was really looking forward to CL and if Aespa’s with them I’m assuming they’re replacing her. Hopefully Hikaru Utada’s still with them at least.

Totally. But who the hell knows if 88 Rising has BIGBANG waiting in the damn wings and thats how Coachella gets them. I had a couple friends texting me freaking out about 2NE1 when my phone started working on Saturday night again.
