Two mafia teams, I think. A seven member mafia could absolutely fuck the game up beyond recognition. Would probably make it more chaotic and interesting but it could be hard for the town to gain ground.
Vigilante picks one person to whack during day or night, then powers cease.
Doctor gets one successful save. Can self-save. Can save the same person repeated nights. Do we want doctor to have more than 1 save?
I'm also on the side of having mafia as one big team but is up for discussion of course. Do we want two mafia teams or one?
-Doctor having two saves might be good since we did away with Oracle? But idk, don't feel strongly about one vs. two -People seem to think One Big Team is the best way to go. I admittedly think it sounds p dope to have Dueling Gangs kind of like Sharks vs the Jets sort of situation, but...

Tbh I like the idea of doctor having infinite saves. HOWEVER: the double exile every time that happens is super unfair, and I would think the better way to balance it would be that town has the option to not exile during the day, if it makes the most sense to gain more information from an extra whack. Also this would only really work with one mafia team, which I think is the better idea all around anyway.

I just think two teams will be a disadvantage to mafia because they could whack one of the other teams and could easily put the other team in danger by advancing them in rounds, killing them in rounds without knowing, etc.
Town's got a lot of buffs with these roles, don't really think it needs another.

Yeah tbh I think I mostly just like the idea from a case study perspective - in terms of the actual game play and how it would pan out, one big team is better

not too late to argue for two separate teams rather than one big one!
Can't really do that without putting ideas out there that could be used.
I will say these roles aren't necessarily all that strong for the Town when so much depends on who gets the roles and how involved they are. Chance and luck plays a big part too. The vigilantly could be exploited to the town's benefit but it's fairly neutral. The inspector's power can be fairly easily limited as well. Doctor is a stupid fucking role and can be utilized to the town's benefit but that's limited in a larger game.
If everything aligns rights then the roles do give the town a lot of help but there are a lot of ifs there. I do think that two split mafia are at a disadvantage with all the dumbass roles in the game now. But a 7 person mafia team is almost certainly capable of destroying most of that leverage, if not all.
To be clear, the regret comment was more about the overall clusterfuck this game is sure to be. Regardless of the rules.
Last mega game had 2 inspectors right? And with different names I assume? How are we accounting for the shift from two to just one inspector in a big game like this? Not sure the existence of vigilante + doctor = worth of 1 inspector
