I also had a good idea regarding role reveals: in among us how they say like "2 impostors remain" I think it'd be cool if starting maybe day 3 or 4 we got how many mafia were left- no other confirmations
Agreed ^^^
Let’s go jaz today and then tomorrow (when you won’t be around, let’s be real), if the game is still going, I think I feel ok choosing between Dan & otter.

Round One Theo - 8 (Theo*, Silver*, Dan*, KPO*, Otter, Maddog*, Rummy*, Jaz*, Tranter)
Theo > Theo (locked) Silver > Theo (locked) Dan > Theo (locked) KPO > Theo (locked) Otter > Theo Maddog > Theo (locked) Rummy > Theo (locked) Jaz > Theo (locked)
That would imply that Otter and I had coordinated that exchange. But my vote is on Otter because I think he’s the one most likely to be Mafia. With Inspector and Oracle dead there’d be no reason for me to distance from him since there are no more roles to be revealed.
No like you were expecting to be called out on it so you had prepared a response
That’s my point though. I wasn’t inactive. Why would I expect to be called out for being inactive when I wasn’t inactive?
Yeah I like it but think otter is way more sus. He pretty much has to be mafia in the two maf scenario. Jaz also went way harder on mad dog, which makes me feel better about him in the mad dog scenario

One reason- he keeps saying "I'm not mafia" like an obsessive amount- use the search by function and see for yourself
Secondly, every single of you living right now responded to my night 1 shenanigans. However, only one of you agreed with what I was saying and that was otter. Rummy, Jaz and Dan all were like hey stop talking and otter agreed with me. That's something that sets him apart from you 3

What have I done that is sus? Please educate me.
Dan has been after me hard throughout, fwiw. I’m still not sure if he’s articulated why other than that I’ve been playing like a newb... because I am one. It remains a poor play, as I pointed out earlier... unless you’re trying to vote out town.
My read is still Dan (and Jaz If there are two left). I’m trying to help out more, Rummy et al. I think that my semi-uselessness is the only good rationale for voting me out.

Damn was hoping there'd be an extension but I guess it looks like day 5 is happening
Shit I was thinking deadline was 11a, not pm—I should’ve double checked. I wouldn’t have late round switched like that for a kill shot, with you still on yourself, if I had realized the round was ending 11p tonight.
By the rules shouldn’t that have triggered an auto extension?

There was already one for the original deadline, I just didn't post it independently from the post count.
Gonna hit the hay so day 5 will start tomorrow morning whether I get the whack tonight or not.
So basically the maf combo is Theo - mad dog or otter - rummy or Jaz. Feel pretty comfortable assuming potent is town.
In the scenario where otter is mafia rummy seems the more sus here. She was the biggest defender of otter throughout the game, while Jaz joined me in voting him two days in a row. However rummy switching to otter last minute last round doesn’t seem like distancing and makes me think the mad dog was actually maf and there wasn’t 2 maf yesterday.
In the mad dog scenario (which I’m thinking is the most likely), Jaz and rummy both switched to tranter to create a runoff. However in this scenario rummy also seems more sus since at the end of the day started throwing out the “maybe mad dog is town” narrative while at the same time saying he needed to go. Jaz was pretty hard on mad dog doing a stack and then a super stack which I think gives him the edge here .
So basically no matter who is maf between otter or mad dog, rummy seems the most sus.

Best guess: Theo - rummy - mad dog
Dan > rummy
ffs if you're town, please don't do this
and of course now in Classic D5 Mind Fuckery Mayhem, i'm now questioning my game-long town read on you because you're throwing the shot at me.
i probably need to stick with my gut/original read with jaz but ughhhh

Jaz wasn't it you who brought up that in the maf private chat last game i was like "fuckkkk i need to chill on the distancing for a while now with my maf teams." it also came up in the general thread with folks too.
so y'all really think theo came out the gate and distanced from me like this as his teammate, after that whole convo from just last game?

doing a full reread before i place my vote, which is probably dumb because then jaz can come in here and spin his narrative if hes mafia before i get a chance to lay out my analysis post-read, but it is what it is.
that is one of the worst parts of d5: if you don't vote first, and that first vote is for you, as town you're in an awful position because if i go jaz here, obviously jaz isn't going to vote for himself. so he is either going to stack onto me with dan or he's going to vote dan which would put us in a standstill (and if dan is maf, he'd just switch to make the kill). being town d5 with initial vote on you is the most powerless place to be: i kind of HAVE to vote dan here to stand a chance, but then if jaz is mafia he has a choice of either of us and wins either way. sjkdfhdkjfkjsdh

I get this and I’m not locking or sold. My question to you is though (and I’m asking in good faith), why did you start the train on the mad dog and completely 180?

happy to respond to that. of course people do (or at least should, if you're a decent player) shift their MOs around as maf, but we all know that even with that intentional shifting, we've played with this group enough that some things do end up sticking out--as tells or just like a "hmm, that's usually how ______ (player) would or would not play this as Maf."
i know that you said MD getting really active towards the end rendered him more sus for you, not less. but i've seen him so many times as maf just like play the "chill out, let it happen" card, and having JUST been maf with him last game, the way he was acting towards the end did admittedly have me guessing whether he really was maf or not. however, i never switched my tune about the fact that it was important to get rid of him or else he'd remain a question mark. i stuck to that, still do stick to it, and upon my reread now (im on pg 10, so not yet halfway done), i'm back to leaning that he was maf. but he genuinely seemed annoyed/frustrated town for a moment there towards the end--and that's what gave me pause.
