we keep talking on here how people are getting back into emo/pop punk and i don't know if mgk was chasing that trend or he got lucky but he's a big mainstream signifier that emo is in right now

Such hate for MGK... just focus on the stuff you actually care about. Sure someone like Miley instead of Kelly would've been great but it is what it is.
The less you like, the less conflicts you will have. Look at it positively. While a lineup with bands that I only like sounds wonderful to me, in reality that means I'll have to sacrifice a lot too. Balance is key to any lineup.

waiting for the boomers in my town to be posting about how mgk is above herbie hancock on the lineup and how they'd go to bonnaroo if it was a jam band festival even though they never went before 2006

Roo's gonna have MGK unopposed while Herbie, All Them Witches, Tinashe, and Tierra Whack all play at the exact same time
This lineup would look a lot better if you swapped MGK and illenium for doja/jack Harlow, bumped porter up a few spots & got rid of the washed up bands with assault allegations against them (all time low & lany)
Didn’t know Lany had assault allegations. I saw them in 2016 before they blew up and liked them a little bit since, but they haven’t made good music in a few years
