Alright I'll come clean and say I was the one to ask Alex originally, but this actually makes me change my mind. I asked re: Ken Burns documentaries, but as you stated, there's always a TV draft for that kind of stuff. So I redact that question/poll.

I'm pulling for Possession. But she might have liked it because she has awesome taste.
BTW, I disagree that Frankenhooker would be considered a bad movie. Nothing Henenlotter made is really bad except for maybe the last Basketcase sequel. He loved exploitation films and considered himself an exploitation filmmaker. I'd give him some leeway for being sleazy and perverted on purpose. Plus, Frankenhooker is a pretty hilarious knock on the objectification of women. Ended up being a good bookend to 80s horror.
I agree with you. This is the exact movie that made me decide to study film theory and not production. I could get into a long talk about it but basically I said best/worst because as it goes, this movie did not reach the acclaim it deserves.
is this the version with the stairway to heaven scene intact
No. It's an extra on the DVD without the audio and a signal to cue up the song but they weren't able to get the rights to include it. Tiny Dancer works great, though, so may it was a blessing in disguise.
