Alright, since I'm gonna be doing the draft order for the Premiere and Location rounds shortly, I'm gonna set up some basic parameters. Both rounds will operate under the three-hour maximum.
For the locations round:
1. Make sure the location has enough already existing movie screens or other feasible locations that can hold both a screen and enough people. Concert halls, arenas, places like that. And "enough people" is a very, very tiny number. One of the theaters at True/False can hold like 20 people.
2. You should be taking larger locations. Don't pick and choose individual theaters. If somebody takes Los Angeles, they get all of LA to play with, no swiping Cinerama Dome out from under them.
3. You can take smaller geographic units if the broader location hasn't already been taken. If somebody takes Brooklyn before all of NYC, the rest of NYC is still up for grabs except for Brooklyn. If somebody wanted to take Broadway before the rest of NYC and just use Broadway theaters as venues, then the same applies: the rest of NYC would still be draftable with the exception of Broadway.
4. If you do decide to take a smaller area, make sure it's geographically intact.
4. If you wanna draft a place like The Farm or Polo Fields, you better have a well thought out setup because I'm going to be extremely skeptical.
For Premieres:
1. Anything that has finished principal photography or has an official trailer but has not had an official premiere before the first pick is made is fair game. When making your pick, post either a trailer or some form of evidence that principal photography is complete. Be it a news article, Instagram post or even an advance review. Just prove it.

Can you just pick another exclusive film instead of a premier? Depending on draft order there might not be anything worthwhile left.... or at least nothing that goes with the rest of your festival.
How specific do we need to be with festival locations? I had first assumed that that round was just for people who wanted to be super specific. Now it sounds like just having a schedule and a city didn't meet the criteria?

Like, fan edits, director's cuts that didn't receive proper releases and that type of stuff are eligible during that round, not just premieres
Okay. Didn't realize all of this. I guess my eyes glazed over at the thought of fan edits and I didn't see any of this other stuff discussed. Hoping someone has the balls to pick the incel version of The Last Jedi.
