If we exile Rummy we’d put ourselves in the position of losing an exile and replacing her with another confirmed town. I do not like the idea at all.

Ah I see what you mean. Was thinking mafia would have an extra whack. I guess it’s ok but you still run the risk of Rummy’s guess being the whack and then we have zero confirmed townies D5. I just don’t think we need to take that sort of risk. I feel confident that I could make the right call on either d4 and d5.

Which would you be more fearful of as mafia though? To me, mafia right now is like "we can easily survive day 4 then its just a 50/50 from rummy on day 5. Not bad odds for Pablo revealing 2 names on day 2."
The true debate is: Is it easier for mafia to avoid a shot from the collective town through the voting process, or one guess from Rummy. And if you think its easier for mafia in the first scenario (like I do), do you think that amount of a town advantage is worth the risk of Rummy going the other direction and guessing the whack.
If the answer is that we should do it the normal way, which it very well may be, we should talk post game about how worthwhile this role is to be honest. The entire role basically just turns Day 5 from a 1/3 for town to a 1/2 for town. Which is cool and all but a little boring.

Ive definitely been town where I was like "welllll we shouldn't just let this person get exiled preemptively" and then they ended up being Maf, but ngl, this doesnt look great for Potent

Are you all really that scared you won’t be able to pick right day 4?!? And for the townies we should WANT rummy alive day 5 because it makes it easy for us to know who’s mafia.
