I'm in Willow Spring, only about 20 minutes from DT. What time would you want to enter the gates? The hubs and I can just get dinner downtown on Thursday night and meet you somewhere

Day Parties are up. Crowmeat Bob on Thursday and ¡Que Viva! at Ruby Deluxe on Friday. Not feeling much on Saturday so I’ll probably just wander until something catches my ear.

Getting things in order before I head to Garcia Peoples tonight in Cville. I’m not crazy about this weekend but it’ll be fun.

Great way to end night one. I wasn’t expecting CaPo to blow me away like she did. Just sad it was criminally under attended. Caught full sets of Patios Counselors and Wednesday, too. Both were great as well. Missed Lido but I’m also 99% positive she’s playing Big Ears. Hippo Campus was pretty much the whitest music I’ve heard in years. Sarah Shook talked about being a bartender at The Cave and finally put to rest where I knew that face from. Great night all around.
I’m missing the club shows but if it was or nothing, I’m gonna choose this. Bring on night two. I need some more Dr. Dog in my life.

Plaza was packed out for this set and after it was over everyone left. I figured they’d come back after Shannon and the Clams but nada. There was maaaybe 700 people there. You could literally walk up to the rail for CaPo.

The funny thing is it didn’t come from the hippie.she actually already had it (with no symptoms) she got it from people she works with. And when got tested I didn’t have it.

Decent enough day but I didn’t “Hopscotch” as much as I just stayed at the Moore Stage.
Sluice was incredible and I feel bad for making fun of the drummers mullet while he stood in the crowd the day before. They sound like something that would fit comfortable with those early Drag City records. Maybe like Palace or Palace Brothers or something.
Kate Rhudy was singer songwriter fare. She has guested with Mandolin Orange and Mipso, so it made sense. It didn’t move me one way or another, it just was. I did miss the first few opening songs as I was outside trying to help a non-verbal guy who was clearly upset at something. He was yelling and pointing at nothing in particular when a group of kids called the cops on him. I sat waiting for the cops because I’ve seen first hand how shit goes down when people don’t understand. Shoutout to those cops for recognizing the situation within seconds and calling for someone trained in that field. It made me feel ok to leave.
Dead Tongues continues to be my current favorite thing coming from the triangle.
Dr. Dog was a cry fest for me. They are just the band that won’t ever go away and constantly on every line up ever. Announcing this was the last tour was kinda how I felt all last year about giving up. I shed some tears and then started singing along. I realized they weren’t giving up and just doing other things that made them happy. I used it as a metaphor for life rn. I was also drunk and could have done the same with Kelly Clarkson or anything else really. They were good. Go see them if you get a last chance.
Skipped FlyLo as they wouldn’t let me in with pizza. Pizza was dope.
