11/9 Portland, ME - Cross Insurance Arena 11/11 Lowell, MA - Tsongas Arena 11/12 Uncasville, CT - Mohegan Sun 11/13 Glens Falls, NY - Cool Insuring Arena 11/15 Moon, PA - UPMC 11/17 Fairfax, VA - EagleBank Arena 11/18 Syracuse, NY - War Memorial Arena 11/19 Reading, PA - Santander
full set from each band + collaborative set.
I keep seeing this mentioned, but where did they say there would be a collaborative set? The only thing I see on the release about the tour says "full set from each band along with unique collaborations", which I took to mean they'll be sitting in with each other.
As someone who grew up in a secondary concert market (Rochester, NY), I think it's nice when bands tour smaller markets, but as someone who saw his first Goose show at Boston Calling and has been waiting for the announcement of an actual full-length Goose concert in Boston, I've been so disappointed at that lack of that show announcement. We would have been better off if they hadn't been booked at Boston Calling, because then we would have gotten a proper one or two nights at one of the larger ballroom venues or the waterfront pavilion.
(Before anyone suggests Lowell, MA, be aware that the MBTA commuter rail doesn't run particularly late and you'd have to be getting up out of your seat by 10:15 to exit the building, catch a cab or Uber, and get to the rail station and platform in time to catch the last inbound train. It's called the commuter rail because the schedules are heavily weighted towards providing the most service to 9-5'ers coming into the city in the morning and heading back out in the evening.)
I'm just afraid that with their rise in popularity, we may not see them in Boston again for a long time, should they find themselves playing the suburban shed halfway between Boston and Providence by next summer.
Feels like fully 1/2 your posts are just complaining about bands not coming to Boston.
That's fair, but it's just weird how many artists skip Boston on their northeast runs. If I lived in Des Moines, IA or Columbus, OH, I'd expect the majority of touring artists to skip my town and come around once every five years or so, but the Boston metropolitan area is in the top dozen in the U.S. It just seems odd when artists play NYC and Philadelphia on a tour, but skip Boston. If you're doing major markets in the northeast, those are the three major markets.

I looked all over and can't find backup for the collaborative set. Feel like I got Mandela'd I swear I transcribed that straight from some email or social media post.

Oh dear but this is very tempting. Would be my fourth Goose show this year. Might put in the request just to see if it gets picked
that's always my thing with high demand shows with ticket lottos, just put in the request and see what happens. of i've already booked a refundable hotel near the venue once i heard the rumors just to make sure i have a good deal in the unlikely event i attend. then if i don't get picked i try for public on-sale "just to practice" my ticket purchasing skills. then if i don't get them there setup a google flight price alert as i scour cash or trade "just to keep an eye on the market".

Well, I got a GA ticket for each night. I was hoping to be able to get a VIP ticket in the presale but didn't see any option for that and also wasn't sure about the balcony/side GA sections so just grabbed a GA regular for each night just to secure.
I don't know if I'm going for sure or not but I have show tickets now for each night. Now I look closer at flights and hotels/airbnb

So as of now here are my Goose 2022 plans:
11/12/2022 - Mohegan Sun in CT 11/13/2022 - Glens Falls in NY
12/30/2022 & 12/31/2022 - NYE in OH
I have GA tix for the NYE show. I will have to sell some things to get an airbnb or hotel and flight (plus poster money) but I think I can make it work. Especially with NYE being a weekend which makes time off easier.
If anyone here is definitely (or even thinking) of going to these shows let me know as we get closer and we can have a meet up or something.
it's not that Goose is an industry plant, it's just that no jamband before them has ever tried to market themselves. instead they choose to grow oRgAnIcAlY which means playing the 3pm slot at the Marihuana Laser Festival for six years in a row until your drummer leaves to get his PhD and your lead guitarist quits and gets a job teaching jazz guitar at a community college and actually has a pretty happy life raising his kid and spending weekends playing in a Grateful Dead cover band.
i believe them. any ol band can improvise jams for hours, do dozens of covers on a whim, and play different interpretations of their songs almost every time that they play them
