lol this is such bizarre behavior. Like, Cube isnt some random actor or rapper, hes a well respected legend. But, again, thats incredibly irrelevant. Like, what do you think all the nba owners do thats so special? Ball is ball. They just sold a team in the league for 10M so sounds like hes doing something right with the fake ball.

Agreed. It's playground rules basketball. It's a pared-down version of an actual sport. I feel the same about flag football. Why? If we are trying to add new Olympic events that are mash-ups of other sports, I'd rather see something like sepak takraw or teqball. I want to feel unathletic when I watch the Olympics.

Well ticket prices arent that insane for events anyway and tickets had fees tacked on. So they might have to do something similar as it is with the laws as they currently are.

I kid but I’m trying to prepare myself, honestly. Checking Paris prices daily to see where that stands. I choked a bit on the 600€ Closing ceremony for a decent seat lol
I mean I think I will go for some random sports just to experience and maybe try the luck at just getting qualifiers for like gymnastics. Rugby def will have a lot of value because you will see a ton of matches in a day. And track and field shouldnt be that insane to get tix cause its the Coliseum. Baseball should be fun and accesible too I hope they use the Rose Bowl for something but there isnt anything yet about that. They need more than 2 stadiums for soccer since BMO and Dignity Sports Park are the only ones with a pitch. Or if they use USC or UCLA's fields which have zero capacity though. And Im sure a soccer final with team Usa in women or the mens in general will have a lot of people wanting to buy tickets.

This Olympics has been exhausting to follow. From people claiming Gojira is satanic, to a cis female boxer is transgender with no evidence, to claims a dominant Chinese male swimmer is doping despite lots of tests saying otherwise, to people hating on Noah Lyles for correctly pointing out the NBA champions aren’t world champions (and also conspiracies that it was rigged for him to win because people don’t understand it’s first torso to the line)… it’s just been a constant reminder how dumb a lot of people are. Hard to follow any of the discourse surrounding this Olympics online without losing more faith in humanity.

Big 3 and pickleball both feel like some rich guys got together and said "we can't afford a pro sports team, let's *invent* a new (completely derivative) sport/league and try to build it into something where we can make a billion dollars." Idk how to define "cool" as I've never been asked, but that isn't it.

lol what? its just basketball. Pickleball has been around forever too. believe it or not smaller alternatives have always existed.
