it’s an outdoor competition with minimal physicalcontact and less than a minute duration of him being around others… seems like a reasonable risk to allow in 2024. I bet most athletes are being way more reckless with it, I can’t remember the last time I heard about an athlete missing a significant match with Covid. Noah just gets in hot water constantly for opening his mouth when others would just not reveal that info.
Well it seems the policy for these games was that athletes were allowed to participate despite having it. I guess a few dozen cyclists all caught it and competed anyway. Something around 50 athletes have it in total. Still not the best look if youre in a high profile event and such.
Meanwhile Michael Jackson seems to be a favorite in rhythmic gymnastics
Idk why you're defending it like it's good or cool if you don't even personally care about the league enough to watch it lol
Big 3 and pickleball both feel like some rich guys got together and said "we can't afford a pro sports team, let's *invent* a new (completely derivative) sport/league and try to build it into something where we can make a billion dollars." Idk how to define "cool" as I've never been asked, but that isn't it.
lol what? its just basketball. Pickleball has been around forever too. believe it or not smaller alternatives have always existed.
Pickleball was invented in 1965 in Bainbridge, WA. I just visited the island.

Guess not...
"The modern pentathlon is an Olympic multisport that currently consists of fencing (one-touch épée), freestyle swimming, equestrian show jumping, laser pistol shooting, and cross country running. Equestrian will be replaced by a form of obstacle course racing after the 2024 Summer Olympics."
I wonder if LA will have the modern pentathlon in Temecula (where I live). Paris is having it at the same place as equestrian events.
Its crazy they almost had rowing at Lake Perris but it was so far away that they wouldve had to build a mini olympic village and that wasnt cost effective. But yeah, I think theyll have to have equestrian at night cause aint no way those horses will enjoy 90 degree heat. Also sort of surprising that they didnt do equestrian at Santa Anita like they did in 84.

Rai Benjamin wins the 400 hurdles, finally vanquishing the Norse god Warholm. They all ran slower than Tokyo though.
USA with a great track meet, but it's just not that difficult to hand off the baton. No gold since 2000 in the men's 4x100, this better be fixed for LA.

They had to shuffle the team around because Lyles was out. Car lewis was fuming. But still, these guys need to practice and have consistency. The mixed relay was smooth as silk but just got beat out. Womens did have a slight handoff issue but sha'carri smoked everyone.
Bets ESPN had a boost to +800 if combined Curry James and KD got the over 10.5 threes. It’s the gold medal game. I only bet 2.00 but that would be cool to win.
