I've been contemplating buying and playing Football Manager. Anyone ever done that?
Been playing since 2003. If you do it, prepare to lose your existence. I suggest starting off in England but quickly moving somewhere else cuz with the money in England the game is ridiculously easy.

I won't leave England until Everton are rulers of the world, since that won't be happening in real life.

I think this will take you a few years. You can usually shock the world in the first season (I won the EPL with West Ham in year 1) but then the 2nd season the teams will adjust (a lot even will toward the middle of the 1st season). I think if you focus on developing from within and buying young players to develop, it's a ton of fun. If you Fifa it and just buy the best players, it gets boring.

Anyone want to put together an EPL fantasy league through the PL website?
How does that work?
You register with the PL website and create a team. Someone can put a group together and there'd be some type of identifier, like a group number, name (Inforoo PL or something like that) and maybe a password, and people could put their teams in the league. You can only create one team with one email address as far as I know, but you can join a bunch of different groups (I've had a team in the Everton group, the Everton USA group, the USA group, and random ones I see on twitter like NBCSN's or Roger Bennett's).

i sign up every year and I always stop paying attention to it by week 5. I believe there’s a draft format through FPL though which I’ve always been interested in trying. A lot more similarities to fantasy baseball/football rather than the normal FPL method

Yesterday and today's transfers:
Jens Petter Hauge - AC Milan > Eintracht Frankfurt (loan with 12m option to buy) Andreas Cornelius - Parma > Trabzonspor (5m) Alex Texiera - Jiangsu FC > Besiktas (free) Adam Armstrong - Blackburn Rovers > Southampton (17.7m) Lionel Messi - Barcelona > PSG (free) Takefusa Kubo - Real Madrid > Mallorca (loan)
obviously Messi is the huge move, but I'm also interested to see how Hauge does

I thought Jiangsu FC dissolved a while ago. Then again I know absolutely nothing about what happens to players when that happens.

I'm pretty sure Teixeira has been a free agent for a while, Jiangsu was just the last team he played for, so I put them
