This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
Hey off subject but on topic, does anyone have a reason for me to not book at the Congress Hotel?
Have you stayed there before? It’s a nice place but if you want something closer I’d go more for something in the medical district
West Loop would be a good location as well and there is the added bonus of great restaurants nearby. I think it's pricier than the medical district though.
Another out of towner question - is it going to be a pain to get to and from the park if I stay in Ukrainian Village?
Honestly it’s very easy - I sometimes take the 49 Western Ave bus to both Riot Fest and to the Empty Bottle in Ukrainian Village. If you go that way, get on the bus at Roosevelt and Western after the rest ends - it looks like it’s in a sketchy area since there’s a lot of vacant lots nearby but it’s not that bad and the bus route itself is fine.

I have but it’s been forever and wanted to make sure it hadn’t gotten “bad”. Wanted to try and stay somewhere in the Loop (Mrs. GL is attending and this was her request).
Also, another point if Sleep plays: my wife totally swore at me and then punched me and swore some more the last Sleep show we attended together.

Medical district isn’t bad by any means but if you’re looking for something more upscale I’d second blurfan’s recommendations and check the west loop first.

The funniest part about this is that the majority of the people excited about this are Brazilian and as such probably wouldn't even be going to Riot Fest anyway
