This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
Assuming Riot Fest booked both Operation Ivy and Bauhaus, would they be big enough together to co-headline? Also, apparently Mastodon alluded to being back in Chicago soon, and it looks like they are going to be back in the states in September. So hard maybe.

I thought it was established Bauhaus is likely playing Saturday?
Not just likely, it’s the only day they can play since they have shows on Friday and Sunday. And I’ve thought about Op Ivy a lot since I obviously want YYYs 1) to play 2) 90 minutes but I just don’t think that’s going to happen that way. So yeah Op Ivy will headline.
However, MCR/Misfits/Op Ivy/Bauhaus/YYYs feels like it's way too good to be top 5/6 for this fest, so quick, someone check to see what Rise Against and The Flaming Lips are up to this fall

Agreed. That would be a top line that I would love too much for it to actually be true.
Anybody think we’ll get some bands that dropped out last year? Like Faith No More, Pixies or F#cked Up?
Gonna guess no on all 3 of those: FNM hasn’t indicated any signs of activity after Mike Patton’s anxiety last year and it looks like Roddy Bottum’s Man on Man has tour dates during the summer, and Fucked Up is doing a Chicago show on 7/21 so they’re definitely out. Pixies could maybe do it, but they’re touring in Europe through early September before doing South America in October and I’d be surprised if they did a one off at Riot Fest instead of just taking a break for a month.

We've gotta be mere days from a lineup, right? Maybe end of next week or week after that?
Not til their twitter just starts yapping non stop about people begging for a line up. And then roasting them all for complaining that such and such a band didnt make it.

Does them posting today about reading an article about Andrew WK instead of the lineup count? 😄

Sure. Theyre active I guess. Not like Andrew wont be there.
For those keeping score at home, here’s when every previous non-Congress Theatre lineup was announced:
2021: May 14 2019: May 29 2018: May 30 2017: April 19 (this was the year RF Denver got cancelled so this is a weird exception) 2016: May 18 2015: May 27 2014: May 13 2013: May 15 2012: May 15

Do this again but make a matrix of the years Andrew WK/Gwar/Taking Back Sunday have played

To be fair to Riot Fest, both the Flips and Rise Against were replacement acts last year amid a slew of cancellations. I know they've each played the fest several times before, but I expect those dollars will be allotted elsewhere this year.
Charlotte Adigéry & Bolis Pupul got rescheduled for Sunday night of this at the Empty Bottle so if the Sunday headliner sucks ass that’s an option available
