I think "big" acts is worth a grain of salt coming from people with a clear stake in the festival. We are 4 months out from a 1st year festival scheduled for 1 week after the very nearby Firefly Festival, being held on the shore during hurricane season. No lineup and no recent social media activity. Not looking good.

Yep. Put me in camp “not going to happen”. They claim the lineup was supposed to be almost 4 weeks ago but was delayed for scheduling conflicts? Either that’s a flat out lie or something went wildly wrong lol.
I think their social media silence is mostly based on the fact that the fest wasn't gaining any traction with fans when they were briefly trying to engage earlier.. I'm gonna go ahead and say the lineup got pushed back by 4 weeks at the end of last month, for whatever reason, and it will be released sometime in the week preceding or the week following Memorial Day.. If it's not out by then, it probably ain't happening.

Ugh, a cup of French fries as the poster? I used to work at Thrashers and that does not bring up fond memories, except for the time I met Dave Grohl at work

Those are commonly known as boardwalk fries right? Makes sense I guess. Fully prepared for dumpster fire lineup.
Boardwalk Fries are a thing, but I sincerely doubt that's what this is referencing.. Thrasher's opened in Ocean City by the pier almost 100 years ago. They're an institution in that town, and the original location is in the heart of the fest. They're almost certainly why this fest chose fries for that poster.. sea hear now wouldn't do that.
They're a hell of a lot better than Boardwalk Fries, also.

Prepare yourselves to be more excited for french fries than this lineup. I made an honest effort to watch a little bit of one of OAR's live recordings from their last tour. Even if they only played the 3 songs I recognize from my college days, I'm not sure I could stand there and watch the whole time. Just not very good. Pretty respectable horn section though.

If you knew what was up you'd be more excited for the fries even if My Morning Jacket headlined. Quadruple fried in peanut oil, ultra fresh thick cut fries with salt and vinegar. They're the best fries you've ever had anyway.
I'm jk, but they are good. So good they pride themselves on only offering salt and vinegar as condiments, DON'T ask for ketchup unless you're looking for a fight.

Strange that there's only 9 bands on Saturday and 8 on Sunday.. seems like there's a bonus third stage on Friday and Friday only, or perhaps a slew of local artists are filling out the third stage on Saturday and Sunday (despite no mention of further acts tba). Either way, I'd consider going on Friday.

ticket page lists 3 stages
So 2-3 acts daily per stage on Saturday and Sunday.. those better be some epic sets, or there better be no overlap
I have a feeling that there's gonna be a third stage hosting 3 local acts daily (like the bottom 3 on Friday) and then a Main Stage and Secondary Stage which don't overlap hosting 5 and 4 acts each, respectively, amounting to about 3 dozen performances over the weekend

That Sunday is interesting- I’ve never seen Alanis, and Cyndi Lauper is a bit novel. Plus St. Paul ATBB always puts on a good set. Wonder how soon single days go on sale?
Why is this called Oceans Calling and not C+ Hear Now?
This is basically a Sea Hear Now lineup with an extra headliner and day thrown in. Although I have to say, this lineup is better than SHN's inaugural lineup. I'll take Dave Matthews and Alanis Morissette all day over Incubutt and Jack Johnson.

Toad the Wet Sprocket, Big Head Todd & the Monsters, and The Samples are some pretty sweet early 90's alt-rock bookings. I'd like to go Friday and Sunday, but two single day tickets are significantly more than a weekend pass.. C3's basically forcing me to go all weekend, shysters.
