Any reason why QOTSA can't pick up some of the 10 FF headline spots? They were on Reading/Leeds Sept 2021 but pulled out when travel proved too much of a hassle.

Arcade fire with Yeah Yeah Yeahs subbing will be beyond epic. I am trying to figure out a way to swing this, would love love love to get back to Oshy for a day. The best part will be that the basic bitches there for ASAP and MGK won't stay for that so getting close will be easy.

May do this fest for the first time instead of going back to Lolla... anyone have any suggestions for where (like what part of the city) to stay? Looking for a spot that is both somewhat close to the festival grounds and/or transportation there and somewhere that has some good spots to eat/drink etc.

Check the Metro locations. We stay next to the Barrie UQAM station. 3 min walk to the station. 5 min subway ride to the festival. Gold!
The HYPE is real. Not the biggest Arcade Fire fan but I think they'll have something special in store for the opening night headlining performance. I really want to hear Creature Comfort live. YYY into them will be fantastic. Never really listened to YYY other than Heads will Roll but they have some bangers.
Rocky and Dua will slay. Really curious to see what the after shows will turn out to be. Schedule is a month or so away.
Glass Animals, Khruangbin and Caribou wont disappoint. Royal Blood was good in 2017. Prob still the case.

As far as more undercard recs go definitely don’t miss Sad Night Dynamite, very similar to and highly influenced by Gorillaz. Also Sampa the Great, Genesis Owusu, Slowthai. For higher billed acts, Mitski, Cordae, Lucy Dacus are excellent

Only thing I'm sad about is Charli vs Turnstile. Would be sad about Dua vs IDLES too but very glad I caught IDLES at Coachella already, and I'll have a chance to catch Charli at Portola so really not that bad for me
Cant believe that we are 5 weeks out! Wonder if they have any surprises for the 15 year anniversary? Prob not. But a Drake appearance like he did at Metro Metro would be welcomed 😎 Does AF or Rocky bring anyone out?
What I like about this year is that Dua is my only cant miss headliner. Ive seen Arcade Fire and Rocky might not get my full attention if he doesn't come out swinging. So friday and sat from 9pm on has plenty of dancing shoe options!
Fri- pinkpantheress, john summit, parcels, charlie, YYY! (Sunset) Arcade opening. Then jump from Big Sean to Kygo to Chris Lake. Leaning Kygo but Lake is hard to miss.
Sat- Tove Lo, Bleachers, slowthai, Freddie Gibbs, KHRUANGBIN! Polo & Pan(sunset) Rocky opening, Porter / Caribou Hard to pass on a dark Caribou closing set.
Sun- Sam opening, LP giobbi, inhaler, girl in red!, royal blood, glass animals, wet leg (sunset tree stage), close with Dua Lipa. 👀

Wet Leg on Tree will be a disaster.
with them being against Glass Animals and MGK it should be fine. lotta people will be camping at the mains or over at the isle stage
Charli v Turnstile is rough. Even though I caught Turnstile at Coachella I will likely be at their set again. It was fantastic. Dua v IDLES sucks too but also saw IDLES at Coachella. Caribou v Asap, but I wasn’t super pressed to see Asap.

I really want to see Turnstile more than Charli. But being right there for the start of the YYYs swayed my choice
