Sooooo I think I might be going to this! Got an invite but I'm still sliightly on the fence. Some of the conflicts are a bummer (Charli XCX vs Turnstile is the toughest one). For a first timer, what are some good things to know about Osheaga?

Get poutine in Montreal. Best food ever lol, and it’s not the same anywhere else.
Use the metro to get to and from the fest it’s super easy. Bit chaotic at the end of the night.
The 2 main stages are right beside each other so you can shuffle between stages early day, then get a good spot at one for the evening and still see the adjacent stage.
Explore Montreal, it’s a beautiful city. It’s my favourite city fest I’ve ever been to and one of my favourite fests.

6lack replacing lil tjay, Luna Li replacing beabadoobee.
Was hoping for Denzel since he was close by and seemed to have the date open but ah well. Honestly them even trying to keep replacing these acts is nice

Anybody know why Beabadoobee dropped? She dropped Newport also I think. Not to mention she also dropped weekend two of Coachella.
She canceled Coachella due to illness but unsure about these latest cancellations. But boy I'm hoping YYY's are ok in time.
The after shows didn't blow me away so I hopped on the Just For Laughs Midnight Surprise shows instead (tickets still available on Ticketmaster but sold out on the JFL site); Friendly reminder though if you also weren't wowed by the after shows that JFL is happening at the same time and there's a good chance to see some big names at those Midnight Surprise shows!
Interesting convo with Nick Farkas (festival founder) on this podcast.
Foo's was obviously on their wish list for a while. But I'm excited that he's been trying to book NIN and Depeche Mode for years. Fingers crossed.
10 days away!
with NIN likely doing Primavera and a more extensive tour next year i would absolutely love them to play. don’t think id see Depeche Mode without Fletcher though

Really looking forward to my first Osheaga next weekend! Glad music isn't starting incredibly early too so I have time to check out the city. Here's what I'm thinking schedule wise: FRIDAY: PinkPantheress -> Local Natives -> Parcels/Charli XCX -> Yeah Yeah Yeahs -> Arcade Fire SATURDAY: Luna Li -> Tsha -> Men I Trust -> Slowthai -> Mitski -> Khruangbin/100 Gecs -> Polo & Pan -> Caribou SUNDAY: Sam Fender -> Sad Night Dynamite -> Glass Animals -> Dua Lipa
Friday: Get my bearings, walk around and get merch > bit of Crawlers > Tones and I > Pinkpantheress > Local Natives > some of Parcels > some of Charli > Turnstile > YYY's > Arcade Fire (> JFL Midnight Surprise)
Saturday: Sampa the Great > Tove Lo > Bleachers > Slowthai > Freddie Gibbs > Mitski > Khruangbin > Burna Boy > Caribou (> JFL Midnight Surprise)
Sunday: Sam Fender > Chelsea Cutler > Sad Night Dynamite > Royal Blood > girl in red > Glass Animals > Wet Leg (if I leave GA's early) > Dua Lipa
11/19: Caribou 11/22: Ranger Trucco 11/29: Armand Van Helden* 1/16: L'Impératrice 1/30: Jamie xx 2/1: DJ Seinfeld 2/7: Mild Minds* 3/1: Father John Misty* 3/19: Confidence Man 3/23: DARKSIDE 5/8: Rüfüs Du Sol
First day was excellent. Perfect weather, a few raindrops as Arcade Fire played ‘Wake Up’ to end the day was actually amazing. They played a great set (of course).
Three new Yeah Yeah Yeahs songs sounded great - especially ‘Burning’. That’s a keeper. Loved King Hannah from the rail, and Charli XCX was a lot of fun! Pinkpantheress had some voice issues but plowed through. Place seemed really crowded - not looking forward to the crowd for Wet Leg on the Tree Stage on Sunday. I never do it, but might get there 45-60 min early to get a spot.
wonder if theyll try to get Rocky or Foos back for 2023. really hope not because that would be so damn boring but as long as the subs are good im game. Would say Odesza is a good bet for a headliner, and after seeing some vids from last night i’d welcome it. Arctic Monkeys seems due for a return as well

Day 2 (like all Saturdays) felt a decent amount more crowded than Friday but still I'm very impressed with the layout of this festival. Sure it takes a day to get from the main stages to the Chevy/green stages but man is this place gorgeous. Legendary sets so far from Parcels, YYY's, Arcade Fire, Khruangbin, Mitski and Caribou to name just my favourites. Crowd is very very positive for everything I've seen though a bit chatty at times (bound to happen with alcohol being literally hand delivered to you anywhere you are...I love that)
