So if they go back to June me and my wife are thinking about going for our first times since it would be my bday weekend and we’ve been trying to figure where to see Rage. Question though do you have to camp for firefly we’re not really campers and if you don’t what would be a good area to look at staying in! Also is VIP worth it here?

You definitely don't need to camp. Staying in Dover would be ideal, so I would book as soon as the dates become official.
Regarding VIP: there were lots of complaints from people this year. I would just stick with regular GA.

Cool definitely appreciate the advice on that. My wife’s not huge on fest and if it just meant easier viewing of the stage might do vip but if not she’ll just have to tough it out. I know she likes Halsey a lot so that’s why this one might work. If they got Kendrick or J Cole for a hip hop headliner with Rage and Halsey pretty sure we’ll be making our first firefly.

I actually beg to differ. VIP was incredibly worth it, in my opinion. No lines for anything. Close viewing for every show. Totally worth it.

That would make it worth it for me personally appreciate the heads up I just mainly want good views with short lines for drinks so that works.

Very happy to keep it in the fall, but yea I hope this doesn't mean RATM is out. This does however open up all the bands that are in the UK for the summer.
It still keeps Rage in the picture. Theres a few markets they didnt hit up on whats announced so they can jump around and go to Firefly, Atlanta, Florida and Texas. It also would be a point that Riot Fest, Life is Beautiful and Primavera LA are the weekend before Firefly so there is potential for lots of available acts for them to pick from.

I liked the day time temps but wow was it cold at night. Low 50's
Layers are your friend. IF there isnt rain it might not have felt as chilly most likely.
I think this opens up the booking possibilities. Goldenvoice no longer has to worry about competing with the European fests in June. Bands can go from LIB/Riot/Primavera LA/MM to Firefly to ACL. Works perfectly IMO.
