Got back from this today, truly had a great weekend. My body is reeling, did Riot Fest last weekend and the two Newark MCR headline dates this week between fests. Saw a lot of complaints online about the festival but felt like the festival did everything they could to correct the water issue and rolled with the cancelation punches. Thursday had a great run of San Holo, 100 Gecs and Halsey. Thought MCR crushed it Friday night. Only real ‘negative’ set for me this weekend was Avril, was hysterically bad. Getting to close Saturday with half of Green Day, half of Seven Lions right into Porter was magical. Sunday after reopening was also a blast, T-Pain, Girl Talk and Charli all crushed it. Truly love this fest and loved it this year, however, unsure what they’ll do with the dates. This is a super easy journey to make from Philly but if it goes back to June it’ll probably lose to Roo this year.
Had v fomo not going to this. Glad everyone seemed to have a blast. Jamie xx and Charli would have been my tops but really liked the lineup overall. Sorry the rain on Sunday but glad most of the acts got to play.
Sorry to revive a dead thread - but this was my first camping fest(and 2nd ever fest). Had an absolute blast of a 4 days, and even though it didn't feel super busy, vibes were very very fun. Nothing quite as good as camping with your best friends, getting a little fucked up, and seeing great music.
Sunday during the weather evac we all hid in our cars, then the clouds broke, sun came out to bless us with a gorgeous sunset, and we heard that the fest would reopen. The cheers that spread over south camping will fill my soul for a long time!
