I think after this morning we only have 2 more days of catering. Today was egg, sausage, cheese, avocado and jalapeño emulsion on English Muffins. Breakfast sandwiches rule, as does sausage.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
I had to jump on donuts because I can’t let sausage go out like that.
Sausage shouldn't go out so early. Besides the fact that it tastes delicious, it's also possibly the most successfully vegetarianized meat since there are neither texture nor flavoring issues.
Since we're allowing for veggie interpretations here, I feel like Rummy 500 should be focusing her fire elsewhere. Like bacon. I have never had an acceptable vegetarian bacon option. Granted, bacon's not going anywhere for a while because, let's face it, it tastes so good that humans still eat it despite how terrible it is for us.

I voted for crepes because I can't think of the last time I had one, and I have no real drive to have one soon. Donuts, on the other hand, will likely be eaten by me soon.

I could be convinced of this. But the closer battle is donuts vs sausage. So donuts have to go in that case.
Donuts. like cereal, have so many different flavor combinations to choose from that the only real excuse to vote them off is that they're not good for you but neither are a lot of these things.

you're 100% correct that veggie bacon isn't good (I like marinating thin strips of tempeh in smoky seasonings but I don't think it replicates bacon that well - it just tastes good on its own volition) whereas there are multiple types of veg sausage on the market now that are quite tasty.
but we've had nothing but veg stuff eliminated so far. and im still mad about grits lmao. so i'm down to join the sausage voters this time around, though i could also be convinced to hop on donuts.

There's "not necessarily good for you," and there's "no nutritional value whatsoever."
pretty basic donuts are lower in calories than croissants, bagels, and get slammed by eggs Benedict
*w the last two probably flooring donuts in sodium
being less calories does NOT equal healthier, yo.
Let's say 2 donuts are equal to, or even a bit less than, the calories of an open-faced bagel sandwich with avocado and some veggies on top. The latter is clearly healthier.

Eggs are a key ingredient to breakfast burritos, omelets, & egg sandwiches, which are all great and should stick around a while. But regular ol' scrambled eggs? They've been around long enough.

where can I vote for open face bagel sandwich with avocado and veggies, I don't see any of that on the list?
sassy sassy! you did seem to insinuate that the health factor could be deduced by the caloric value of the foods, since you specifically said donuts are less calories than bagels etc.
and I'm certainly aware that open faced bagel veggie sandwich isn't on the list which is a travesty--I don't know how bagels by themselves at least aren't on there.

I don't know you heathens voting for donuts. I wish I could go on a donut fast. I cannot. In fact, I'm heading through Harrisburg tomorrow and making special plans to go to my favorite donut place there specifically to get donuts from Evanilla. She makes a normal vanilla cake donut but comes up with great, homemade toppings with interesting combinations. The all-time favorite there is coffee toffee (coffee icing, small toffee bits) but she will also do things like brown butter date, roasted plum cinnamon...oh her donuts are just so good.
Anyway, I have breakfast food opinions, your opinions may differ, we can still be friends in the end(but I will never eat an egg product, ever).

Donuts are way worse for you thank bacon or sausage

I'm just saying the majority of things left are high carb needs something else ingredients, but the "complete meal" options here high calorie/fat/sodium options. once fruit was exiled and smoothies voted off it's really splitting hairs on what's healthiest

I dunno, dawg. I know sausage ain’t the healthiest thing in the world, but I feel pretty confident saying there’s more than a hair’s breadth between it and a donut, and that gap’s likely even wider for something like a veggie omelette.
yes a single sausage link is more protein but it's also way greasier, likely way higher in sodium, and roughly the same calories as a standard glazed donut.
and adding qualifiers to what specific kind of omelette is what makes a difference. a huge meat lovers omelette with a ton of cheese is probably not better than a donut
but if you're using donut every time to mean, heavily sugared fried and glazed, when there are other specific kinds of donuts that can be made w out sugar, or egg, or baked, etc., than you need to do the same for every other thing too
like no I wouldn't order a gluten/sugar/fat free donut (which I'm sure exist), but I wouldn't order faux sausage either, even if they're both healthier than a regular donut
