PUP is touring spring with no TN date, Shaky in May, and open for June before heading overseas. Seems likely to hit a bunch of these and would be fun as a token punk set for Roo.

I'd be very happy with PUP as our one Emo/Punk band at Bonnaroo.
Not too familiar with PUP. Where should I start? Any similar bands I might know?
listen to all 3 records in order, some similar artists are Jeff Rosenstock, Joyce Manor, Modern Baseball, The Menzingers, Sorority Noise, and Rozwell Kid

I know people are going to say their albums, but what really hooked me was the actual music video for "DVP":
(if you listen to the song on Spotify, you should listen to "If This Tour Doesn't Kill You, I Will"/"DVP" back to back because that's how they do it live.)

Pup feels like an updated version of my late 90s/early 2000s teen years hitting tiny shitty clubs for local bands and any act that blew through town in the outskirts of LA. Dark days and Kids really hit that nostalgic spot for me. Would love to see them on the lineup

Goose Perfume Genius Orville Peck Sleater-Kinney Hinds Caribou Polo & Pan Sunflower Bean J Brekkie I’d still like Dashboard back I’d also enjoy a 90s throw back country artist (Reba, Garth, George Strait, Alan Jackson)
this episode of "60 Songs That Explain the '90s" about "Hey Jealousy" is really good.
"hey jealousy" and "til i hear it from you" are classics IMO. in "hey jealousy" in particular i love the lyrics. they hit that combination of vulnerability and a puzzling specificity. i also love the arrangement of the lyrics, particular the way the third verse is the same as the first verse, just sung slightly differently. it's like they knew that first verse was so good they had to sing it again.

"Hey Jealousy" is so good that it kind of ruined Gin Blossoms for me. With every subsequent song, I thought, "This is pretty good, but it's sure no 'Hey Jealousy'."

Which is funny, because most of their songs sound so similar. But none as good as Hey Jealousy.

Yes to all of the above. I was just saying how cool an Alan Jackson show would be on the Farm. We have a lot in common, both musically and in terms of geography. 🙌

That's what reminded me to mention them!
Just started that pod. So good!
glad i'm not the only one here enjoying it! it's 100% because of the host. the monologue part of the pod is far and away the best part. the little interviews are nice and all but his research and radio skills are what make the pod great.
i've still got so many to listen to, but i really enjoyed the C.R.E.A.M., November Rain, Enter Sandman, and Nuthin but a G Thang episodes.

Has anyone mentioned The Highwomen? I notice Brandi Carlile has a break in her tour around Roo, and none of the others appear to have a tour planned as of now. They have only a single re-scheduled show at Wrigley on their calendar right now.

I drafted then in the predictions draft. Then again, I also drafted Primus...

I'm going in order from oldest to newest. I'm on Smashing Pumpkins ATM so I've got a long way to go.
You're right, the interviews are... fine. The host is great. It also helps that I peaked in the mid 90's so this music is all so vital to me.

i'm a 90s kid too so that definitely helps my enjoyment. i'm curious to hear if someone younger than us enjoys it as much as we do.
