Sunday evening is such a mess, as we predicted. I literally want to see everyone who plays from 6:20 onward. Definitely committed to Sparks, but then Phoebs/Turnstile/Descendents/Floating Points is a clusterfuck (the rest of my group will definitely want to see Phoebe, but her sound might get drowned out by the others).
Friday is nearly perfect for me, though. My only minor bummer is Courtney/Ethel, and I'll probably stick with Courtney.
Saturday: Isabella Lovestory > Lala Lala > Arooj > Genesis Owusu > Queen Naija > Yves Tumor > Earl > Magdalena Bay > Kaytranada > Le Tigre > Jorja Smith > end of LCD
Sunday: They Hate Change > Margaritas Podridas > Spellling > (pending on how day drinking goes) either Girl Ultra > Modu on the Fairways or King Woman > the beginning of Shame on the Greens > Tinashe > Deafheaven > Idles > Four Tet + Floating Points > GY!BE
Obviously I’ll say fuck it and end up at the 19th Hole the whole time.

I just saw both within a week of one another and think Ethel has a better show, but I’d be worried about how it translates to an outdoor setting.
if i went, Sat: Lala Lala > Indigo De Souza > Genesis Owusu > Leon Vynehall > Yves Tumor > Earl Sweatshirt > Magdalena Bay > Kaytranada > Kelly Lee Owens > rest of LCD
Sun: Spellling > Sofia Kourtesis > Romy > Wet Leg > Caroline Polachek > Phoebe Bridgers > The Strokes
sat: hana vu > indigo de souza (or enjoy) > eyedress > courtney barnett > circle jerks > le tigre > jorja smith > remainder of lcd soundsystem sun: zulu > margaritas podridas > nothing > shame (or wet leg) > deafheaven > idles > turnstile > the end of pheobe bridgers > the strokes
RIP beach house im devistated but i saw them play on the sea at the greek theater LA so im OKAY
So theyre still keeping the rotating stage it seems on main. Although I think making the other 2 got back and forth outright mightve been the better move. Just gonna depend on where those stages are placed I guess.
there's some stuff I definitely want to see, but if the price is right I can see this being a fun fest to just sort of show up to and wander around. I'm planning to buy day of.
writing this out def makes me sad i wasn't able to swing making it to this :/ if i was going:
Sat: Isabella Lovestory > Lala > GODFORD > Leon V > Yves or Palms > MagBay > Kaytra > some of Tigre > KLO > LCD Sun: not sure > Sofia K > Romy > Wet Leg >Slowthai > Caro or Avalon since Ive seen Caro multiple times this past year > Four Tet/FP > GY!BE
two days of great music for sure. i also really need someone to record a bit of Godford because the fomo is real strong on that one.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
yall should give yourselves more schedule time for Despacio. also Tinashe is better than wet leg and shame
I’m already rethinking switching Kaytranada for Despacio. I saw him a few years ago and was a super fun set but it’s not like I get tons of chances to catch a Despacio.

1 hour and 20 min (or less) for LCD seems like a short set time for them, no?
In any case, for those that went to Cruel World and/or Just Like Heaven and watched the headliners, do y'all think it's feasible to watch all of Kelly Lee Owens and still get a relatively close spot for LCD? Weighing whether to watch KLO or just camp at Fairway during Le Tigre.

Close spot? Yes, you’ll get a decent spot wiggling your way towards the front. Swing wide on the left side of the stage and get into the front area of the T crossed barricade. However, you don’t need to be close for a good viewing experience. I was towards the back center for Morrissey and thought it was as good as being up close for Bauhaus.
