Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I don't really understand the clause. Wouldn't they not be able to have a show in LA that close to the festival if they signed one?
Yeah. So thats why you consider 99% of acts as out. There are exceptions, but you hardly see that with big names. The only way to potentially get anyone from TANP is if theyre announced after the fest. Prima LA is way too close and that makes those acts chances next to none. So Shame being thrown in as an extra act during a labor day werkend announcement or even the schedule drop might be the play.
Going back to the "and Kevin Parker" when we said "so Tame Impala?" The follow up was "no solo".
What if they pull a Bonnaroo and have something akin to a SuperJam?
that's sorta what the closing ceremonies are, isn't it?
and re: the Kevin Parker thing, it's probably just Tame. I can't think of anything else that would be Kevin Parker and would headline a day. I wish I had more time to chat about it, but I was just stoked about Bjork.

I don't know anything about the closing ceremonies, this will be my first year. It sounds cool though!
Yeah, I can't see what else it would be either tbh.

the closing ceremonies are usually billed as JJUUJJUU (JJUUJJUU is Phil's band and he's the founder of DD) and friends. it's basically a superjam with different people from the lineup coming up for a song or 3. it's not as formal as Roo's superjam, but it's pretty similar.

I was going to say something about how I've seen Portishead mocked for every fest like this for probably the last 7 or 8 years now and it never happens (in the US) but apparently they played a show two days ago?? Totally missed that
They did a charity event, and played 5 songs. Word on the street is they have no plans for any other upcoming shows but we'll see!
to be fair, I think they worded it as "no upcoming TOUR" so I'm holding out hope that there's a one off show planned for Desert Daze until I see the poster without their name on it.

I've updated the lists in the top post of the thread, let me know if I missed anything.
I also have been getting anxious to hear some news...Been waaaayyy to quiet on their streams, without any updates (big or small) whatsoever. Maybe next week things will begin to rev up?

I'm chomping at the bit for any scoops! I'm hopeful for next week.
