2 GA with camping bundles purchased! the early bird price is a steal and makes the cost of camping a little easier on the purse. now I just need to get a vehicle pass when they go on sale.
TANP -> PSLA -> Daze is going to be a fun few weeks.

in case there was any doubt about multiple stages:
PS - multiple stages and Thursday night camping are back! Pre-sale includes Weekend Passes and Weekend + Camping Bundles. VIP (passes + upgrades), Vehicle Camping Passes, and all other ticket types will be available this spring with lineup announcement.
The dates got moved to accommodate Tame Impala. If it was mid Oct it would be too close for comfort for their New Zealand/Aussie dates cause of their hardcore covid rules. This is almost 3 weeks before that so its ample time to just play the one off and head down under afterwards.
And as I've said before, I selfishly hope they don't book Tame Impala for this because I've seen them enough and their fans will change the overall vibe of the festival.

Nah nothing selfish about it. Never been to DD but I can absolutely imagine the regular Tame crowd would completely throw off the usual vibe I imagine the fest has.

I totally understand where you're coming from. I've only seen Tame Impala once believe it or not (not counting the 2 songs they played at DD '18 as the storm came in), so I would love for them to return.
But let the speculation and homework begin! And as I think a few have already pointed out, this is only 9 months and change away. Hopefully we get the lineup, or a first phase of it, by March.

Beak is at Primavera 2 weeks before. So Geoff would be in the country and they could just hang out or do a few shows before the band comes in and they rehearse. I would assume that could be a reason that Portis isnt at Primavera because DD mightve had em signed on way before.

Would love some Daze favorites to return like Warpaint, Wand, METZ, LA Witch, Chelsea Wolfe, Dead Meadow, and some of my faves that have only played once before - Brian Jonestown Massacre, Osees, Failure, Sleep.
But yes Portishead would be amazing...I know we've long wanted this, and some rumors swirled in the past, but hopefully we can wish it into existence. Especially since this is their big 10 year bash.
I want idles so bad...I hear the live show is bananas. I'd love Metz again too. Eagulls could be cool
Also I missed big business last time and it crushed me.
Would be down for Big Business...They kicked major ass at Psycho this past summer.
I would be on cloud 9 if they end up getting Slift over here. Porridge Radio too. Also, if Tame Impala plays there's a good chance we get Pond again, who I love. Is The Armed playing Primavera or This Ain't No Picnic? If not, maybe Daze snags them?!

Just noticed that Desert Daze is following Converge on IG. Not sure how long that's been the case but I briefly checked previous lineups and didn't see them listed anywhere.

🤔👀
Converge Bloodmoon project would seem to be something that would interest them. Theyve had Chelsea Wolfe before.
Portishead and Pulp would be spectacular. Big reunion I’d want is Sonic Youth but idk if that’s ever going to happen. Sonic Youth playing Goo or Daydream Nation would be a dream.
Bought a presale ticket since $100 for this fest is hard to beat.
Portishead would be near the top of my list for sure. Pulp as well, but I'd be happy for any Jarvis project since I missed him last time around.
Pulp seem done for good, but I'd love another chance to see them. Their NYC reunion shows were both amazing and had extremely apathetic crowds.
I know, but I can dream. a few months ago there was a rumor that they were heading back into the studio so after posting this I googled it and found out that it was a fake rumor. I saw them at coachella in 2012 and it was lovely.

Phil/Moon Block has never sold them this cheap! Very cool for them to do this, probably due to it being their 10th Edition.
I think the closest it was to this cost was the first year in Joshua Tree, or when they had the early bird tix for 2019 at $199.
Hell yea, bought the GA ticket. $100 for the weekend is a no brainer. I need to still get camping but I’ll figure that out after the holidays.
Waiting on camping or a parking pas after the line up drops. I drove from LA to Lake Perris this year, which wasn’t too bad on Sat. and Sun. Friday was hell and took 3 hours to get there - left at 2 PM and walked up to the stage right as DIIV was starting. Def nice to sleep in my own bed, but if it’s a stacked line up, might have to stay the night out there this time around.

We stayed at Holt Xola in Moreno Valley, about a 12-15 minute drive from Lake Perris. It was kind of rundown, but we got our room for a decent price.
After the great times my crew had this year though, pretty much everyone wants to do camping for '22. I didn't get the camping for now, but got wknd tix for me, my wife & sis.
I wonder if any of the smaller acts playing Prima or Picnic will have radius clauses preventing them from being at Daze?

just a guess, but I would think they wouldn't be able to announce anyone on either lineup until after the event. so maybe we get a handful as a late add, but not the initial lineup announcement.
speaking of announcements, do you think we'll get an entire poster all at once? or maybe they will trickle out a name or two per week in the spring. I kinda like the phased announcements.

No one at Picnic or Prima will be on DD except maybe Beak> IF Portishead is on the line up. They can just throw them in there on the set times announcement I figure and itll be inconsequential. Considering that there is absolutely zero crossover at all between them already, its a sure fire bet DD doesnt have that luxury. But I mean this is all based on availability anyway. Why would DD have their dates moved earlier unless it was the only way to get somebody. I mean ACL moved a week later for example in 2022.
