Divide and Dissolve are right up my alley, nice noisy feel good doom. Adding them to my list. Legit one of my favorite parts of this fest is that I always discover new good shit, every single year.

So Elkka is a house act, that seems like a slightly new direction for this festival. She's playing Portola and listed as a "live" set there so I don't think it will be a DJ set. Looking forward to this, a change of pace is always welcome for me at Desert Daze, can't do fuzzy guitars for 3 straight days.
So BCNR had me thinking there were black midi, which is a good thing?
FYI the lead singer quit the band and they've only been playing unreleased music since. Still looking forward to seeing them but my expectations aren't very high based on recent show reviews. Lotta people saying they were kinda boring.
Told you guys if we hit 40 we'd get the lineup Monday!
I am impressed with this lineup, I can understand if you've seen Tame/Gizz many times that you may not be bowled over, but all things considered this feels like they hit so many nice spots.

BCNR's first album is a little heavier but definitely a big gap between them and black midi. BCNR lost their lead singer this year, so not sure what to expect. I'm waiting for the album, but there are videos floating around of their new material. They have said they won't play their first two albums, which are both phenomenal and worth a listen anyway.

Well then I guess they'll be an easy pass if there's a conflict. That sucks, I really dug what I heard

I'm still holding out hope for the solo stuff. Ants From Up There was an album I had to listen several times to appreciate, so I'm hoping the mixed reviews on the live stuff is just a similar phenomenon. If I heard AFUT live the first time, I would have also been bored.
Thank you! It's an easy drive for me so I can make it work out late. I'll probably shoot for a last minute steal. No issue with limited secondhand car camping passes given the venue? That would be my only other concern.
I had trouble getting a second hand parking pass last year, so I purchased a single day. Camping is very easy to buy secondhand.
Last year was atypical given the late switch from a series of shows at Pappy's to three days at the lake but with only one stage, shorter hours and only two dozen acts. With this year back to a full lineup of almost 3x the acts and (probably) three stages, plus more popular headliners, I'm not sure I'd use last year as a predictor of how the secondary market will go this year.
Of course there could still be a last-minute tank again if, say, Tame pulls out because of covid, there's a new variant sweeping the area or there's a major storm in the forecast or something like that ...

I know some people on this board are a little upset with the headliner options, but these were incredible bookings for an independent festival. Props to Phil and DD crew for making this happen. And there's still more to come...
