i spent way too much time defending the lonely island booking before bonnaroo 2019, then it happened and was objectively a highlight of the weekend. no need to defend it anymore. it's like defending pizza.
i can only see the cure playing bonnaroo if they also play coachella within a year or two. headlining coachella would give their name a pretty big bump with young people that go to festivals then bonnaroo could justify them as being top 3. otherwise i’d only see the cure headlining festivals in new york/chicago/la that aren’t quite as big as coachella/lolla/bonnaroo/acl like riot fest, panorama, and fyf
If we actually somehow got The Cure I probably would try not to bitch about much, but god, please, no more Chance the Rapper. Society has progressed passed the need for Chance the Rapper.
PUT YOUR HANDS UP IF YOU LOVE GOD!! Corniest shit I've ever been present for lol.
only Chance booking id want and would want a lot is an Acid Rap set. otherwise hope fests stay away from him.

I'd be all in for a Cure headlining set.
Also, full disclosure, one of my biggest professional regrets is not getting to spend the day with Robert Smith and his wife a few years ago because I was too hung over.
Lizzo is a headliner. I don't think SZA is. Chance fell off super hard and as a former huge fan I'm bitter, though I still hope against all evidence that he can return to form. I'd be happy to have Dead & Co back (and their 2016 set is what got me into them), but I don't see them dipping into Dead or LCD again anytime soon after 2016 numbers. I've seen Tame three times at three different stages in their career and tbh I've resigned myself that they're just kinda boring live, even if I like the music. That being said, they'd still be an easy W for Roo just given the degree to which people want them there.
Pick two of: The Cure/Bruce/Kendrick/Gaga/Dua Lipa/Tame and one of: Doja/Dolly/Tyler/The Weeknd/Drake/Lizzo
while accounting for genre diversity and my money would be on a sellout.
