Coldplay does have a 2 week Roo sized gap in their tour in June. Granted, they are in Europe before and after but there is no other gap of that size during the European leg of their tour…
feel like if Coldplay was gonna happen, it would’ve been this year. Tour lined up perfectly.

they were slated to headline this year but they opted to push to 2023 to open up headlining slots for MGK and Roddy Rich
I took my mom to see them this summer with Michael McDonald for their 50th anniversary. They honestly still put on a good show and sound great for their age.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.

My rents went to that tour as well and they said they jammed. I was kinda bummed I missed it

!! YOUNG PEOPLE PREFERENCE ALERT !!
i just ran a meeting with all the staff in my focus group. they are young, from early twenties to later twenties, aka the key bonnaroo demographic. i asked them if The Eagles was a good band and they all just kind of stared at me. ergo young people don't care about the eagles.

They’re so into Eagles that they know the band is called Eagles and they were staring at you for using the “the” and being lame and out of touch. The fact you went on to ask them what they think about “the Tik Tok” also didn’t help your image.
Les Claypool's Flying Frog Brigade is on the Peach lineup at the end of June. Also on Summer Camp at the end of May. so hopefully that makes them a little more likely for something at bonnaroo.
Eagles and Doobies have similar boomer energy, but the equalizer is when Big Mac Michael McDonald is in the fold.
The Eagles let Henley and Walsh do their solo stuff in the set and it's super mid but occasionally Big Mac will bust out "I Keep Forgettin" and my sources tell me that it is molten lava hot when he brings the house down with it.

this is gonna sound like a galaxy brain take, but I think I'd enjoy a Frog Brigade set more than Oysterhead. Sure the OH personnel is much more notable, but FB songs are more memorable imo
100% Coldplay. i've talked to so many people who have seen them live and been like "ya know i don't really like coldplay but that show was incredible".
I must agree, Coldplay at Rock Werchter was one of my favorite festival headlining shows.

McDonald and Kenny Loggins famously had a bet about whether that song would reach #2 on the charts. it took Warren G sampling it, but it finally made it.

tbh Funk #49 is better than any Eagles song, and maybe any Doobies song
The Eagles discography is mediocre at best and it's pretty sad that they continued to tour after Glen Frey died. Would be a hilarious bad booking in 2023
Do you want to dance while also thinking about all the ways you've failed as a human?
