Saw them at B&B and while generally cool McDonald’s voice was really rough
Yeah I remember thinking the same thing when I saw them at their tour show. It wasn’t bad enough really to hamper the show in any way but definitely noticeable.
Les Claypool's Flying Frog Brigade is on the Peach lineup at the end of June. Also on Summer Camp at the end of May. so hopefully that makes them a little more likely for something at bonnaroo.
so is the difference between Fearless flying frog brigade and Frog Brigade that the Fearless group does all covers? With my limited knowledge and a brief look at the live album, it seems to imply they only do covers, most of which are Pink Floyd. Am I off base here?

Frog Brigade has a full length original album called Purple Onion that is very good. Fearless Flyers is something totally different, with a couple members of Vulfpeck.

it's just a band claypool formed with some dudes from the jam scene when primus was on hiatus. they didn't have any albums or anything when they started so they just jammed covers and claypool songs.

actually I just read your question like five times to figure out what you were asking. I just did ten minutes of research and I am further away from an answer than ever, because it seems at different times they have been billed as Frog Brigade, Flying Frog Brigade, and Fearless Flying Frog Brigade. Also the studio album came out after both live albums so idk

Yeah Fearless flying Frog Brigade only album is the live album and they play nothing off of the Frog Brigade records, only covers, And as far as a I can tell, doesn’t feature members of vulfpeck. This is bizarre

so I think the original name of the project was Colonel Les Claypool's Fearless Flying Frog Brigade, and they just simplified it with later releases, dropping Colonel and Fearless Flying. This time around they brought back the adjectives but left out Les's rank. I guess.
I submitted Devo’s “Satisfaction” in a covers round of my Music League and everyone hated it. Which reminds me, if anyone is interested in doing a Music League, I’d be down. It’s an app where you set up a certain number of rounds. The rounds have a prompt and you select songs that fit the prompt anonymously. The app generates a playlist of the submissions for Spotify. Everyone then votes on the songs per round in the app and scores are tallied up as the rounds go on. It’s a good time. 6-10 people is a good Amount of players, if anyone’s interested.

This sounds relevant to my interests. I’d be into it.
Do you want to dance while also thinking about all the ways you've failed as a human?

If we can get a couple more, I’ll throw it together
